Hi!

I'm relatively new to Guild Wars, and have been enjoying it a lot. However, one of the things I enjoy most about RPGs is...well...roleplaying! Something that GW seems to be lacking. I guess there are other people out there who enjoy roleplaying though, which is encouraging. I'm in a friend's guild, and can't really leave it. However, if any of you fellow roleplayers would like, please add me as a friend (in game name Gaius Proeliator) and feel free to send me a whisper when you see me online, I'm pretty much always up for a bit of RP.

Hello, my first post to the forums, as I am more of an auction house person in particular. I used to be a head of a rather small but still nice role playing guild. However, I am now down to myself and another that is never on. This is because of college in the most part. I am an active roleplayer however, and enjoy writing quite often. I even have a fifty five page website (HTML) written by myself about various characters I have and how I make characters for forum/chat based roleplay.

I enjoy the guild hall that I own, and the hard work that I put into it. I wonder if there is a guild that I could ally with and enjoy roleplaying from time to time. I am Kurzick, as the amber is more valuable than the jade, and would like to keep my guild hall. I hope to find a good group of friendly role players, but for now, I will simply play and farm with my pet lynx Link.

We will readily take materials, weapons and in some cases, it may simply be enough to glean the items dropped by the foes we slay in battle. ~we would rather spend most of our time actually playing the game than sitting around and doing dialog.... our idea of RP is to play the game acting like your character would act in all the different situations, rather than talking about sports, booz or whatever, ... this creates a more "escapist" enviroment to play in... having such a beautiful and fun game could be waisted imo by sitting around talking about back story....

~in game we use brackets [like this], and the guild chat... to speak out of character. All other chat is 'in character'

I am seeking a RP guild too, most of the ones I have been in have had thier fair share of jerks in them or the leaders just

A) Play Favorites

or

B) Don't give a sh*t

I just once would like a decent RP guild that actaully RP's. And doesn't claimhow they are the best but when you join it's like pulling teeth to RP.

The one thing I like about the guild I'm in is simple. Yeah, RP is not constant and people do it when they please. However, we finally got some new blood and people are starting to interact more. Many RP guilds lack this and its good to be part of a group that even if they don't get RP in every single day, you still have that bunch of friends to fall back upon.

Not to mention that we are having our MnG this Friday at 6pm PST!

RP Type: D/C. Rp is the basis of the guild, and all members are expected to rp the majority of the time. However, we also encourage OOC chat and activities; including, but not limited to, things like organised PvP.

Member Requirements: We are currently a very small guild (about 4 members at the moment) but we hope to remedy this fact. so we’re not being too picky about our members at the moment :P. All we require is that our members roleplay, they’re serious about it, and we like them. Other than that, we don’t care if you’re a hardcore PvPer or on obsessive Farmer when you’re not rping.

How to apply: Contact ‘Rakk Endleslight’ or ‘Escreon of Mesyshen’ in game, ‘Escreon’ over PMs on here, or either of us via email ([email protected] or [email protected]). Then we will organise some time when you can meet some of our members IC, which will (most probably) swiftly lead to your invitation to the guild.

Our stand on ‘non-canon rp’: We have no problem with people acting outside of the currently existing Guild Wars lore. We have no problem with originality, and taking some artistic license. However, we strongly object to anything that opposes the lore, such as Elves/Vampires/Moonfairies etc. Our view is that it is great to add your own story to the lore, but you have to follow the guidelines already laid down; and if according to those guidelines your lore makes no sense, that’s what we have a problem with. If it coexists with the guidelines, create and invent away!

I have been playing on and off pretty much since launch and my issue is that I can never find people who

1) Roleplay
2) adventure
3) are around my level so that the places we need to go are the same, and
4) play when I play (East Coast US, evenings/nights).

I met a very nice group of rp folk once but they have already gone past the stuff I am still doing. I have tried adding to my guild or joining others and it never comes to anything. Either I get no response to my ad or the group does not meet the above conditions.

I am pretty lore based, so I am not interested in meeting elves, vampires, half-demons, or demigods from forgotten pantheons, either. The game lore is rich enough to allow for much interpretation within the game to incorporate nonstandard stuff. Besides, the people ALL are pretty elf-like. There is no need to say that you are an elf.

Yeah sure, if they want to get into a sup par crapfest guild, where if you have standards your considered elitest.

RoN is nothin but abunch of putzs with inflated egos. If you don't do things THIER way you do it the wrong way. Take it from someone who was in that farce of a guild. If you have any morales keep away from RoN.
