I started a rpg guild as well, that was born from a campaign I played. We have a good strong story line. We are also about to start an online text based RPG, not just for members, guests are allowed to join in as well. The Hounds of Creegus forum can be found at s13.invisionfree.com/houndsofcreegus

Hail most noble members of this forum. I send you each warm greetings from the ULGG of GW Alliance. (United Legit Gaming Guilds of Guild Wars) I noticed this thread about role playing guilds and while we don't advertise as we are an invitation only guild, I rather liked the sincerity and tenor of the posters and so I am personally inviting interested GW players to come and visit us at the fire.
The ULGG (GOTW #12) is both a very large alliance of honorable guilds and also contains an ingame guild called the ULGG. The ULGG has an EXTREMELY active role playing forum with two taverns that overlap. We have several hundred members in the ULGG alliance and the ULGG Ingame has just started its second guild as the first one is full. We would be delighted to have more people who enjoy roleplaying both ingame and on our forums. Please do come and visit us at the fire. The smoked charr and Ascalon olives are specialties of the house, and the lemon tarts are to die for, and our honey ale...well there is none in all of Ascalon that tasts finer.

Roleplaying in games was always one of my favorite things to do, ive atempted it somewhat in this game, but people just lead of to OMFG HAX0RZ PVP UBER 733t, and shoot you with their guns.

Yet, we dont know what guns are back this far in age.

So what I guess im trying to say is, its always nice to have a group to regularly Roleplay their charicters out.

Greetings citizens of Ascalon and denizens of Tyria. My name is Chyminy Riquet, and I represent the Orphans of Kukai, a guild dedictated to roleplaying in the Guild War universe. We are a small intimate group of 10 members or so, but we are quite active and helpful. We are currently focused on PVE at the moment but some of our members are quite interested in PVP and extending to PVG.

I've enjoyed the little bit of forum roleplay I've done with this group. What are the chances of us getting together in-game?

I'm east coast USA.....I know some like Symeon are on the other side of the world so that would be problematic..

Any thoughts on this or how it would work? I've never done in game rpg so would we need a story line first or what?

Exactly what I've been thinking...
By chance, me and Undead Mesmer met ingame at a Christmas party, we discussed it. I'm not sure how it would work, but it would be interesting to get together ingame. I'm in fact currently guildless, I was kicked along with my friend from a PvP-devoted guild.

@ Undead Mesmer: So with the other account, you are in that guild that you're not leaving, but with this new one you could join another guild? That means...three of us to make a guild...and I'm sure others...

I'd *like* to join a guild for RP, but I probably can't, since my dad has one account guilded and his other is *making* a guild. I could get Hall invites once and a while for group roleplay though...

Everyone is talking about how there are no roleplayers online that they can find. That is because all of the roleplayers are looking for other people that roleplay and not roleplaying themselves. If you want to find other roleplayers, just RP to no one in particular, if you are in a town give a description of your character or what he is doing. I have done this several times, and you know, about 25% of the time someone either responds or PMs "oh you RP, cool!".
