I believe the term Roleplay they are referring to is using the rich roleplay storyline that GW has already created to immerse your own character into it. Like "acting". You become Lord Whathisname and will talk, act and do things within the world of GW. There is no talk about real life things like football games, the weather in Detroit, or the Dude that just passed by you with "ubah" weapons.

For all purposes, you talk, act, and breath your character because you are your characters personality.

Just playing in a roleplaying game and doing missions to further the storyline doesnt make you a roleplayer. It is part of it, yes, but there is so much more to roleplaying a character than creating a biography on paper. Its what you do with that history and how you play it out in regular game play that makes you a roleplayer.

I have founded a small roleplaying guild too, we got but 8 members at the moment. But that is mainly because I'm only letting the good RP'ers in.

Try www.imageshack.ws and you can upload images from that.

The maximum pixel width is 640 pixels, so resize them before uploading it. Oh, and make sure you transfer the bitmaps into JPEGs, as the maximum upload is 1 megabyte per picture.

I am very interested in RPG. The game is getting kind of boring, all I seem to do is grab henches and go kill. This seems like to be the place for me, even though I have never done role playing before it sounds intruiging and would like to join in and learn.

I'd be interested in RPing. I think it'd be really great if ANet added some dedictaed districts for roleplaying. Chop the last district off the major cities and make it xxxx RP District.

I'm an officer in a newly formed RP guild (and no, i'm not advertising it here, since this isn't an advertising thread

) but I'm always looking for other RPers to hang out with, since we're quite obviously the minority and so very hard to find (and if you wanna join our guild, that'd be a bonus.) I am interested in the roleplay part of this game too. I always loved roleplaying, I built up two major characters in the game, both level 20. And now im pretty bored.

Id really like to get into roleplaying, I have a level 20 Warrior Monk, and a level 20 Necromancer Elementalist, so theres two different oppurtunities for different guilds, one light or one like evil or something

Id be glad, and id love too, lead a strong foundation of roleplayers if you guys want to do it.

My warior is my main, he was never intended for roleplay, and I kinda am ashamed by his name...

But if you want to try this, we can make a big rp guild and get a guild hall, etc etc.

You see the inherent problem with graphical online RPGs versus Onlne Text MUD like www.achaea.com Is simply the lack of depth. What it has in graphic and beauty it tends to lack in deppth of character. GW is an excellent game but like many MMORPGs or graphical online games, these games tend to attract for want of a better word: idiots.

What I tend to do in these kind of MMORPG or graphical online game is assume a .Hack type role play. The game is called the World. And I try to keep in character if possible. But still knowing its a game. similar to .Hack.
