I was just thinking about that movie Saw.Who else thinks that doctor was an idiot for cutting off his foot above the manacle?And why would he cut off his entire foot when all he had to do was cut off his heel to slip it off?Definately not a doctor I want operating on me for any reason.

Well, considering the ordeal that he had been through, and his insanity-drive desire to make sure that his family was alright, you wouldn't be thinking as clearly as you normally would. It's not like he was a professional soldier, who'll continue to perform his duties normally under extreme pressure; doctors generally don't have to try and operate on people knowing that either you're family is going to die or they're going to die.

We can sit here and look on it with hindsight thinking, "Wow, what an idiot." But put yourself in his shoes (or shoe, depending on which part of the movie you're watching) and think about what you would do to be with your family.

He seemed a bit crazed as he was doing it. People do nutty things under
severe situtaions.

Absolutely. I've been watching horror movies lately, and oh boy they are all based on insipid stupidity on part of the main characters.

Exactly.In quite a few horror flicks I have been rooting for the villian as he offs the stupid people.Like if you know something bad is hiding in there then why why go in there at all when the front door is right behind you?LOL.O well no such thing as a horror flick for me anymore.

You should watch "Shaun of the dead".
I love the scence when Shaun and his friend see their first zombie.
"OMG" (silence) "She's drunk." (laughing)

In another great scene they try to kill 2 zombies by throwing some old records at them. (dire straits

The only problem I had with the movie was that he seemed way too calm
to me in the beginning and middle. Some other minor things that didn't fit
well, but I'm used to it with the new horror movies.

Stupidity has always been kinda rampant is most horror flicks though.
