Cable. I could technically use the OC-48 that goes into my dad's work building but they wouldn't like me playing games on bandwidth for TV stations.

My cable consistantly registers 6.0-6.6 mb throughput speed (online measurement by www.speedguide.net).
Also, they have a wonderful TCP/IP Optimizer tool for your connections, worth the click. Listed down on the left of the front page, and test your connection using the TCP/IP Analyzer.

You forgot cable. I may just hit DSL...both DSL and cable are RF, but telephone lines weren't originally made for RF and cable was. This connection is 4Mbps Down/384-512Kbps Up.

Actually they're two different technologies... there is a Dedicated Subscription Line (preserved bandwidth) whereas Cable uses shared bandwidth but generally has a higher overall bandwidth (just not guaranteed it). Also I don't believe they use the same modem technology as one is on the telephone line and operates at higher frequencies. I could go into further technical information if you needed, but I think a simple google search will bring you better spoken articles.
