depend, cigarete and gaming both free an enzime ( dont know the word in english ) and those are what provok addiction. If you play more than you smoke you will be more addicted to GW than cigarete. Because you will need more of that "enzime" to live.

I thought that with drugs, and other similar "addictive substances" (for those who say tobacco is not a drug), I thought that it gives a certain feeling or stimulation. Then, the more you smoke, drink, or take drugs, you build up a tolerance to it, and require more to feel the buzz. Kind of like working out.

yes and no, not exactly. The more you smoke the more an "addictive substance" is released. And to remain good, you have to keep that level of "addictive substance"(dang... i wish i knew a better word/name) to the level that you are used to, else you will feel bad.
So when you smoke 2 pack per day and stop 1 day, 0 smoke a day... you will be bad/sick for an amount of time, until your brain don't need the addictive substance anymore.
Yes the more you smoke/drink the more you developp a tolerance to it, but it isn't what cause the addiction. It is the addictiv substance released. If you notice is a vicious circle... the more you smoke, the more you developp a tolerance, the more you need, the more it's release an addictive substance... ^^

Yeah, completing the entire game in under a week is crazed grind compared to those lightning quick 6 month games.

Right, I want a game where after I install it (and it better not take more than 10 minutes to fully install) I can open up the first screen hit a HUGE magical button that does everything for me. Then I want to log in, I dont want any preset commands, rather, I want to hit random buttons and the computer better figure out what Im trying to do. Anyhow, so I get my character, (which by the way, better have full equiptment and abilities, and it better be the right color too) then I expect to PvP all night long!
And the next day, Ill just uninstall it because its so boring. Now thats my kind of game!

I'm addicted to Guild Wars. It was either that or beer, and beer tastes like shit. So Guild Wars wins my psychotic attention.

Here's your kind of game, perhaps:
http://www.progressquest.com/
You do not have to bother with hitting random buttons, and computer will already know what you want to do. Easily the simplest RPG you'll ever play.

I'd explain further ... but I need to go and try to farm, spend 12 hours doing so ... and then come back here and complain about the whole game getting nerfed and broken ...
Ummmm ... put me down in the addicted column ...
