Is it real? If so, who ever wrote that needs to go back to english class, either that or the reporter doesn't know much english.

I love how they're using video games as a scape-goat in their little witch hunt as always. That man is obviously too unstable to be playing games in the first place, never mind taking care of kids.

So true. But the worst scape goat has to be D&D. It gets blamed for the wierdest things. Do a google search sometime for D&D and after you filter out all the stores it is almost all blam ing it for stuff. (Blaming is usally done by Christians who also complain about Harry Potter)

This is, to my knowledge true. My home page is a game news website and for the past week there've been several murders in some way related to video games (even if metal instability was another factor.)
http://www.gamespot.com/news/2005/06...s_6128036.html
And here's some more that happened just days after the link above (I would've given the link but the site it's originally from won't load the page properly.
-----------------------
Just days after the Japanese media linked a double murder to GTA 3, Rockstar has been hit with another tragedy linked to one of their titles, this time Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas.
Roland Kirk Brown was sentenced to life in prison without parole for shooting and killing a seven year old girl, Deva White, who was sitting with her grandmother and 8 year old brother when Brown opened fire on their home.
What prompted the violence was an argument over Deva White's brother's copy of San Andreas, which he claimed Brown's son had stolen:
Police say Brown fired gunshots into Deva White's house on Nov. 29 while the girl say on a couch with her grandmother and 8-year-old brother. Deva was struck in the chest.
Deva's older brother had accused Brown's 16-year-old son of stealing his copy of "Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas," the Detroit Free Press reported Thursday. The video game had not been stolen and lay underneath the family's couch, the newspaper said.
--------------------
And then there was the case about a year ago if I remember correctly where some robbery or something happened in Australia and the two guys were wearing ski masks, so they linked it to Counter-Strike.
It's stupid, really. If someone's going to go crazy I wish they'd do it while quoting George Bush.
(Joking, obviously I wish for nothing more of the nature to happen, and my views on George Bush will remain undisclosed, it was funny though. And I can just see the headlines...)

Reading that, I now await a game about politics. So that when we all go into even more debt, we can blame the company who made that game!
Oh wait... Who wants to be blamed for politics?
Heck, why not blame Deer Hunter for hunters that are shooting out of season? Maybe their TV broke down so they decided to do a little of the real stuff.

OP is sad, but to say the kid was "grey and floppy" does not sound like a very professional description, and i am not sure if i am amused or horrified by it
