9-11 was a shock, especially for Americans, and especially for those of us who were born and raised and have family in NYC who work in that area. The heartfelt sentiments from around the world were appreciated, but eventually time and a lack of terrorist activity swept those sentiments away and it seemed, to me, that America was left with it's rear hanging in the wind on it's own once more. The exception being England. For the last 4 years, and I suppose we can say, for generations now, England has supported us or at least listened to what we have to say before disagreeing with us. So basically, yeah... I support England and you guys are in my prayers. Whatever you guys decide to do, I hope America will stand besides y'all.
At the same time... I know y'all are a little shocked by the events, having lived through similar on this side of the pond. I just want to note that my family came to America forty five years ago, by way of the Caribbean islands, from India as a direct result of some fairly nasty and terrorist things England did to that nation.
I hold no grudges, I love America, and my life is better for being born here. It was and continues to be an honor to serve this country and my family is better for being here as well. All I'm saying is that if you play with fire, you eventually have to expect to get burned.
