I know I'm a few hours late ... and it still needs to be ratified ...

BUT IT'S LOOKING LIKE WE'RE GONNA HAVE OURSELVES SOME HOCKEY THIS FALL!!!

Ohhhh ... I'm just so happy ... I don't know how many sports fans are out there ... or more importantly hockey fans ... but ... I'm VERY glad that they've ironed this out ... and I even think that the salary cap will make the league that much better ...

Now all we need to talk about is the shootouts at the end of regulation ... personally? I'm against it ...

Honestly I'm very glad it is working out! While not an ardent hockey fan, some of my family are and were bummed that it was canceled.

Actually ... Lacrosse is the official sport of Canada ... NOT hockey ...

BUT WHO CARES!!! I WILL HAVE A CHANCE TO SEE MY LEAFS PLAY AGAIN!!! YAY!!!!

With shootouts at end of regulation. I say play 5 minute period, if its still tied and nobody has scored then do shootouts. So no more ties, there has to be a winner.

But it is good news bad news for me, as I do a great deal of work for the Blue Jackets and it will severely cut into my GW and forum time but the money is good so I guess I'll be ok.

Too bad my local team, the San Jose Chumps (sharks) sucks last years and i don't think they will improve this year unless they draft that kids from Canada this year.. don't remember his name but heard that he suppose to be a great play like Wayne Gretzky

Sydney Crosby ... and yes ... they are touting him as the next big thing ... but, because there was no playoffs last year to determine the draft order ... it's a big lottery so theoretically ANYONE can land him ...

I just recalled when Mike Myers and Scotty Bowman were inducted onto the Canada Walk of Fame ... and Mike begged Scotty to come to the Leafs ... 'We need you ... we need you ...'

Duuuuude ... you've got a killer team in the Dallas Stars just north of you ... the Thrashers aren't a bad team out of Atlanta ... not to mention a Stanley Cup winner just to the east of you outta Tampa Bay ...

I'm sure you can catch some of those games ... try tuning em in ... you might actually enjoy it ...

Oh yeah and northern british columbia (canada) has had a huge jump in births this month like 60%-70% more than usual (i'm guessing 9 months ago the hockey strike was on). doctors where attributing this to the hockey lockout. I guess there wasn't much else to do up north when hockey isn't on. hehehahaah!
