Just a quick heads-up before this turns into a flamewar and I lock it. There's no need to be calling people out as "fan-boys" on a Guild Wars forum.
Wouldn't hurt to try a spell checker, either. Just an FYI.

Well considering they are totally different styles of game I'm sure there is no conflict in owning both Guild wars and Elder Scrolls: Oblivion

Oblivion is a SINGLE player RPG, very immersive in that almost every single object from forks to people is 100% interactiveable. You can kill literally every NPC in the game, steal from people houses, it's amazing. But like Shamblemonkee said, they are two completely different games, therefore one can't really surpass the other.

Wonder if its going to be as buggy as every other Elder Scrolls game has been on the PC. Nothing like playing for 3 hours, logging out, then finding out you can't log into your saved game again...

For sure I will, I spent so many hours on morrowind (and that was jus becoming master of each guild), The one problem i had was all the loading times. the elderscrolls games always have so much material its amazing. They keep you busy for a LONG time.

I'm sure that this game like Morrowind will have high system reqs. which I know can be tough for those without top of the line machines but you should really get Oblivion for PC. I saw the Xbox version of Morrowind and it really loses alot as far as what you can do and it is much easier to control on the PC. To everyone that likes Guild Wars enough to be looking around on this fan site, Buy Oblivion you will love it. 'end of my 2 cents'

I wanted to like Elder Scrolls, but i just couldn't.
I found combat clunky and the world too open. :-o Now I do like sandbox games, GTA, Black & White, Sims, etc - but ES lacked that vital direction that's needed even in an essentially open game. I always ended up getting lost and then bored.
The only memorable events for me were a time i was wandering along (totally lost) when suddenly a faint sound started, a sound like "oooo" this gradually changed to a OOOOOOOOOOOOOAAAAAAAAH *splat*.
A magician had fallen out of the sky and landed next to me, that was great, especially the chat I had with him. I then went on my way deeper into some forest whereupon I found a cave - ooh i thought there's bound to be something more dangerous than a poisonous frog in here! And yes there was. There was a ghost which was immune to my weapon. I died. Quickly.
The only other memories I have are of stealing everything I could from town, being caught, stabbing the nearest person, usually followed by running away from some guards.
So i didn't get on with it very well. However a friend of mine loved it and spent months immersed in game amassing a truly huge horde of loot in a cave, oining guilds, building a castle etc etc - so i can apreciate that for some it was a truly great game.

Be sure to spread it. All the Guild Wars players who truly enjoy the game will love oblivion. I think this time you can acutally buy real estate instead of killin the owner and moving in. also i think u can own shops.

I'm keeping an eye on it, it looks graphically fantastic that's for sure. If the devlopers can pull of their aims of a neater combat system, more directon at the start and the amazing sounding people interaction system - where they live around you on top of the stuff we already expect I'll be sure to give it a look.
I like GW because it's pretty much pick and and play - I found a game like ES required at least an hour to get anything done.
Added: Yup I really liked Black and White. I had an evil wolf (I just couldn't be good no matter how hard i tried). I also ran a modification site for it for a while. Nothing quite beat flicking villagers over mountains, rolling boulders through their villages or teaching your creature Meganuke.
