Well lets say if gw became pvp for $20[same as wow]Would u play it?will it happen?Well would u?

My opinion no to many free games and i would rather play wow or the new ff12. But hey thats my opinion many would disagree[probally all}

guild wars is PvP- person vs person. u mean a monthly fee. and no i would not pay a monthly fee for any game

No I wouldn't pay a subscription for Guildwars. And even though I've subscribed to other games in the past wold hesitate to do so in future.

As a note, if you took more care over wording your post, especially the use of pvp vs. p2p or pay to play, I think you would have had less confusion over the actual suubject of this thread.

But, back on topic, I wouldn't play Guild Wars if it was pay to play; I would get a real MMO. Please note that this game is actually an RPG disguised as an MMO so there is more hype

there are to many other things to do with my limited funds than tie myself down to a game that says play it now and play it a lot or lose your money.

I agree with Loviatar. I'm too busy bein a student and keepin a job to have to worry about playin so many hours a month just to get my money's worth out of the monthly fee.

No pay to play for me.

The main reason I got this game is because I found an Online RPG that was free. So, if it ever did end up having a monthly-fee, I would have to quit playing. Sad, I know, but when a company changes its mind about something, it's rather cruel.

After all, the inital catch-phrase for the game in its ads was:

"No Subscription Fees. Why pay for a game you've already payed for?"

So yeah. They shouldn't controdict themselves. That would be foolish.

During beta when GW was a unique PvP game, I would have payed a monthly fee...

but 20 dollars? Hell No.

... My Hell No is even more solid now that Guild Wars blows.

If GW became a P2P, I would just quit right now and never come back. One reason why I like GW is that it broke a big boundry- it offers some MMO content but DOESN'T charge you. That proves to me that the company is confident enough in their game's sales to support the team. That, my friends, is one big step forward.

sorry to contridict but this was never a pvp only game with a few rp frills.

if it was meant to be pvp there would have been specialist training areas for each profession and all the artwork would have gone into different ways of pvp instead of what it is and where it is heading.

it is truly for the casual gamer of both styles and for the hardcore of neither.

however weezer and company have done something no other group has done so far............

they have gotten more than the standard we will look into/under consideration answer everybody else gits

they got them to say flat out that UAS will not appear in any form

I will never pay to play ANY game at ANY time. I pay the box price and that's as far as I'll EVER go for any game.

I shall never pay for a game more than once, EVER (except half life 2, after my cdkey was stolen, i went and bought it again, its too good)

Over time, yes. I wouldn't pay to play because I simply can't afford it. If it did become as such, I would be very sad as I'd be forced to get rid of it.
