Don't Give Photoshop To Insomniacs
So, I'm wide awake with no signs of stopping and going beddy bye. So I ended up back in Microsoft Frontpage, working on my new website. I was about to finaly start on the games section when browsing for pictures drew me to a very cool and sinister looking picture for a DOOM expantion that I have never heard of before (Surprise, surprise - even the addicts miss out sometimes). It's called "Thy Flesh Consumed." The picture is of this really neato looking demon that was a lil scarey too look at from the first moment, and is still a bit creepy to gaze on. Mainly, because the picture isn't drawn. It looks like an actual photograph. Cool picture, but one problem... Tons of ads on it :/ So what do I do? Well, here I come photoshop. I removed the ads, resculped the head (the ads deleted a lot of the figure) added my own shading, and then made two other versions with the filter and some shading techniques just for good measure. Enjoy.

Dude....I love messin around in photoshop. You can spend hours lost in trying to create/edit a masterpiece. Nice work. I'm usually too lazy to remove any unwanted ads or whatnot from pics I like.

I know what you mean Echo, I don't get a wink of sleep and what do I do at night? Screw with photoshop, most recently trying to figure out the painting features it offers (never used photoshop before really).
This was tonights project, close enough to finished for my tastes. (I didn't do the original character outline, just needed a rough sketch to paint and was too lazy to scan one of mine.)
Then this thing I scanned/painted, I doodled it on the back of my Comp & Rhet guidelines sheet.
Gives me something to do if nothing else.

It seems like you (not Pie) are just slapping on random filters. I guess that's amusing when you first get Photoshop, but you will quickly realize what the filters can do when you use them together correctly. Just visit any Photoshop tutorial site, a few weeks later you will see vast differences. A good site for tutorials is www.good-tutorials.com. Just remember to try your own spins on the tutorials and try to understand HOW it works and not just blindly follow the text. =D

That stuff is just whack freaky. Now move up a step from PhotoCrock, and use the following to pwn the world:
- newtek lightwave 3d,
- autodesk discreet 3dsmax, combustion
- alias maya,
- etc.
they are cool.

Yeah, only problem is I'm a young son of a gun and that shit's a lot more difficult to work with than is simple photoshop paint.

Actually that was the only thing I wanted to do. He posted a neat pic, so I filtered it. That was the point.
Thanks for the link
