My level 89 hardcore 'zon has a Buriza and some decentish other stuff. Nothing like my softy gal up there but nice nonetheless. But you're right: There's precious little that anyone can do solo (as far as reaching the big boys goes) anymore. Still, it encourages at least a partner or two so all's good.

I still have 7-8 guildies that play on the first Sunday of every month. It's fun.

If they added Respeccing, I'd be more inclined to play Diablo. As it were, planning one single build on a character, and facing the possibility of getting bored, or totally screwed over by a nerf, have kept me away.

Off-topic: City of Heroes had a Labour Day weekend special where they reactivated accounts for free (except ones that had been banned for inappropriate conduct and what-not).
I tried it, but realized I'd forgotten how to play, and that exp debt annoys me. (Better than exp loss by far though.1)

Depending on how long it has been since you have played many things may have changed... for some reason a lot of newbies are coming and acting like they know everything, they can be spoted easly with the following famous lines "lol sorc without tele is useless", "IK sucks", "lol Aulders is old", "Tals is for noobs" and so on.

That has been around d2 4 sometime and im use too it but my main problem is finding my cd keys I had them on a index card b/c I knew I would lose them so I wrote them down and now Im of threw them out.

Back in the day (last time i played before now) no one knew what enigma and botd was so i never got gear bashed and people were still doing hour and hours of cow levels

I still have 4 friends who play.. which is actualy more than i use to know (just found out other people i knew actualy played this as well) and we still do cow levels for fun, nothing is better than the sound of a bunch of cows mooing, heh

WOAH d2 pubs are NOT boring. They're like the main reason I play the game. I've no interest in putting together a team for 4 on 4 or something. I'd much rather 1v7 and watch the newbs cry.

Anyway those items are 1.11 I think I just started up again yesterday I'm level 60 still doing NM baal runs. Once I get to 70ish I'll do some fast NM meph runs to get things like magefist/vipers maybe if I'm lucky an occy or wizspike.

I'm making a fire/ES sorc but I don't know why. I'll just end up remaking because I have to waste stats I should have made a blizz sorc for easier mephing.

. 3 tals peices for MF is okay.

That spirit runeword is crazy 35% fcr on a shield.

the currency on ladder ad nl is still ists and will always be, and the 1.11 hellfire torches have been a new way of scamming :X they also patched the 1.10 maphack... and i couldnt really be stuffed downloading the new trojan errr... i mean the new 1.11 mh ^^

i like D2, the pvp is awsome (as in ppl squelching and then nking, AA blizz srocs, Smiters....) and if not, i like it how u can jus go on chat and piss ppl off with sh*t like "yea... i enjoyed ur mom last nite..." without being suspended by EULA 4 2hours... (happened 2 me twice on Gw already

And the other reallyyyyy crap thing is... they patched rushing.....THOSE MONSTERS!!!!!!!

patching and changing all lvl reqs for quests just kills pvp, players can no longer get a lvl 80 hammerdin in 2 days and go have sum fun pvp, but now r forcedto do all the missions which they have all done as a noob like 90 times on sp >.<

Tals and ik IS for noobs, if u wana mf, use 4isted monarch, 6isted crystall, etc, if u join a pvp game with any set items, consider urself Own3d, (except maybe zealers or barbs with angelic rings/ammys).
D2 still is 1 of the best online rpgs, its just that its graphics/sound/gameplay and other players are all outdated

oh yea, and MCS, if ur abit laid bak on gear, id be glad to sell u large amounts of ists/enigmas/hotos for gw gold ^^

see.. thats what rune words have done, anything other than nig,botd, cta, and so on is a "noob" item... dispite the fact they have been around longer, which would make them a vet item that no one respects anymore. Personaly im looking to gather all the character based sets (i have aulders and most of tals, brother has IK and some or trangs, and friend has mavs and most of tals.) Why? well after playing this game from day one of its relase i am still yet to see all of these in game because all the new players have conviced the vets that they suck, which is wrong (im looking for rainbow jewels to put in my aulders so i can do killer damage.) High lvl rune words are much like 15K FoW armor, everyone wants it and everything else is just puppy chow...

Oh and for the PvP, most of the games ive seen dislike people having stuff like nig because everyone just teleports around and annoys the hell out of the legit players who don't flock like sheep to runewords.

I still can't get over Windy Druids. Even though they're debatably cheap and easy to equip, they're pretty darn fun. Providing you can teleport well.

i still go with classic caster killing barbs theyre pwnage when i played also FB sorcs
