the Incredibles, the plane scene... "there are children on board" bit, the tone of voice and desperation really got to me.

lol i was struggling to think of a movie i teared up for, and that was one. I'll rewatch some old ones and see if that does anything.
meh, mellowing a bit in my old (relatively ) age

edit:
arrghh.. there's another one i think it was about the vietnam war, i can remember the song they played... was an impossible situation and then a couple helicopters rose out from behind a hill and in slow motion, mowed down the entire base. was quite gory. searching amazon for it lol. the song was good too

The only movie I've ever officially cried at was...um...Oh deffinetly Ladder 49 :/ that movie was just all around sad towards the end. There's no others...unless you count Lord of the Rings Return of the King when I had the flu....but yeah that was caused by the flu...no sickness was going to stop me from seeing it on opening night! Then on Star Wars Ep 3 I had a bet going on so I held back any intentions of crying during it. The only thing really that's made me cry is books or rather Mangas... The Hellsing manga *-spoiler-* poor Maxwell and Pip...they were my favorites. *-spoiler-* And then the Fullmetal Alchemist Manga .... *-another spoiler-* Why'd they have to kill poor hughes...*-spoiler-*

Well I've never really cried at a film. Even when I've wanted to. This is partly down to the fact that I have problems with my tear ducts. However I seem to supress the urge to cry when I need to without even wanting to. So I can't really name films I've cried at but I can say that I've watched a couple of films, ones partly based in reality linked to the second world war and the holocaust which made me feel like crying. I can't remember the names of these films. But I do remember one was linked to the pink triangle, which was the badge homosexuals were given during that period. That particular film was about a relationship between two men. They ended up committing suicide beacause they could not be with each other as I recall. I think its extreme human suffering that makes me cry. If it isn't real I can't really relate to it for some reason. However if its based in reality then thats what gets me.

"Somewhere in Time" is a great little tear jerker. The music fits with it. Jane Seymore is just plain Drop Dead Gorgeous. It is just a sad movie. It is one of a few movies that I will not complain if Mrs Dood puts it on.
They shot that movie on location in Michigan. A place called Mackinaw Island. The hotel in the movie is the real Grand Hotel on Mackinaw Island. Look that hotel up on the net. It is drop dead gorgeous too.

That is what scares me when women make that FACE. I know it all to well with Mrs Dood. Or she will add to it with a Marge Simpson "Grrrrrrrr"

The Last Samurai, when they are mowing down the samurais with machine guns and the samurais only have swords. The soldiers shooting look like they are about to cry and one of them takes their hat off. Yep that gets me every time.
Collateral - that movie when Tom Cruise is an assasin. At the ending when he dies on the train and he's bleeding, head down, slumped forward. People continue to get on the train without a care and continue on their journey. That was very sad to me - didn't cry though.
The Matrix Revolutions - when Trinity sees the sun for the first time and says "beautiful" - that welled the tears up. Then during her five minute death scene and she's talking about the first time she died - couldn't hold it back then. It was so emotionally charged. Also I thougt it was even sadder because neo didn't realise he could save her life again because he was still in the matrix.
I'm sure there are others but that's all I can remember right now.
Oh yeah man on fire was pretty sad and I thought the ending was stupid but I didn;t cry there.

Went to see 'Sky High' with the kids today (no, didn't cry during the movie *grin*)
However, I DID see a preview for Narnia: The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe...
I teared up at the idea that the movie industry is finally figuring out that Fantasy / Sci Fi authors can tell a great story that can 'spawn' a good movie (with the special effects to do them justice)
*Raises glass to Hollywood*

LOTRs. I so totally thought Sam and Frodo were gonna make out at the end. I was saddened when it didn't happen.
