No I won't dis Sid, it's just that whenever someone mentions a game in a different genre, there is is usually a 8 page discussion over one can't be compared with the other....which usually goes waaay off tangent.

I was just about to say that. Its like a board game. Except more complicated.

i think of Civ as a Country sim rather than a strategy game. they have no battle feature. so it is tactical at best.

I remember that.. I think I must have had II.
All I remember is I LOVED playing the different races cos their Improvements and Wonders of The Worlds were so cool! Specially the dinosaurs. I think one of the wonders was the Giant Nest of er.. er.. heh.
Whaaaatever. I may concider buying that. I hated playing humans. I don't do tanks or stealth bombers or military.
I do do merpeople though...
