Ok... how can we be talking about the best Playstation games and NOBODY has mentioned Castlevania: Symphony of the Night? No game stands out for me more on the platform than that title. Best... side-scrolling/2D... game... EVAR! The gameplay is outstanding, the music was simply amazing... ok, the voice acting was laughable. Every games has to have some fault I suppose.

Paraiste Eve II, Metal Gear Solid, Einhander, Silent Hill, anything Final Fantasy, Spyro, Driver & Thread of Fate. Those are all very good games.
