"Electronic Musicians' Lounge"
Anyone here besides me into composing electronic music, genre irrelevant? Share some of your online work, or critique
Here's one of my recent works:
Dj Red Skull (sot) - Bathing
I am currently, as I posted this thread, uploading my files again to my domain. This takes a bit, as there are over 400 songs I will be adding back to the site, but you can nab what you want. Feedback is appreciated. This will be an ever-expanding vault of my older work, my new stuff, and whatever. Currently, there are 50 songs online.
My songs are free to download here

Good, as your feedback would be needless, predictable, and the usual, just like that post yours

You're awesome. Only thing I don't like is they are kind of slow at the start, a little bit repetitive. The good points are it sounds good and I think you'd be able to send them into nintendo or another game company as music for games.

Well. I'm not a pro artist or anything. I'm just 14 and use Fruity Loops Studio 5.0 Producer Edition to make my Trance music. You can find it here:
www.acidplanet.com/distorted_truth/songs
That should work. My Dark Ambient songs were like a phase kinda sorta...I was just interested in it. It didnt last long. I'm into trance now. The top song is the newest and probably the best. It has its weak points but for the most part I think its pretty good.

Yul, that is some pretty impressive music from someone who is only 14 and only had minor assistance from people with EQ and the like.
Impressive. If you are interested in working on something sometime, hit me up (when im not in game LOL)

Wow, thanks. I don't know how much id be able to help, but I will try my hardest. Thanks a lot man. I have trouble with melodies usually...thats what gets me the most....im the kind of person that yea...im just kinda lazy...but if i want to take the time to figure out a melody...then yea..i will. It's just really hard cuz ive had 0 music experience at all. But thank you very much. Hit up one of my characters on GW:
Tul Marada
Tul Armadas
Tul Armedes
Again, thank you and hopefully we will work together.

I've dabbled with making electronic music in the past, but 99% of it sucked badly. Been thinking about trying again, especially sine I've had this kick-ass song idea kicking around in my head, formulating and growing. Like Sonoma said, any good freebies out there to use?

Freebies, no. Every program you will find will cost money. Here are the ones that I myself find useful, but not necessarily use. I only use Fruity Loops ($100 USD)
1. Fruity Loops 5.0 Producer Edition (About $150) Google "Fruity Loops" and find their site to download the free trial.
2. ACID 5.0 (Around $400). This is a loop sequencing program.
3. Reason 3.0 (Version right?) (I'm guessing this is anywhere from $400 - 600)
4. Cubase (Dont know price)
Those are all I know. But again I only use FL. Hope that helped.

buzz is free and is actually far more powerful than all those listed the post above. It isn't very user friendly as it was designed to cater for those who had "grown up" with and wanted something beyond; old-school trackers born out of the "scene".
Everything you need: http://buzzmachines.com/
These days I just use it to make my midi keyboard into and uber synth, not composed anything in years.

I disagree. Cubase and Reason are supposed to be the most powerful music creators out there. Besides...if it's free...do you really think it will be as powerful as the ones that arent? It may be powerful, but I really doubt more powerful than Cubase or Reason. But then again, each have their own strong and weak points. No program is perfect. Reason, Cubase, and FL all have MIDI capabilities and tons of stuff you can do with the MIDI that you played on your keyboard. All you need is a MIDI controller (which I dont have) so i just use Piano Roll in FL along with tons of VST's and VSTi's.
