ive heard of that happening couldnt he just take off his armor that had those runes on or something? or use a different type of rez?

I don't think you can take armor off while you're dead. And no, different rezzes won't work.

I did manage to rez a 105 monk once.. admitedly, I'm not too sure how much life she had to start with... but yeah, able to rez once and once only.
