However, before Anie gets to it, I want to say that I think if one person loves the other, and vice versa, that's all it takes. Be it girl-girl, boy-girl, boy-boy, black girl-white girl, red girl-yellow boy, whatever. Love is love is love.

Why does this remind me of the "Goobacks" episode of South Park? If everyone looked the same and shared the same culture, maybe we wouldn't have so many wars and racial issues. Personaly, I think having interracial couples is a BIG improvement over say... A bunch of angry white guys in hoods. Love is better than hate, we all know that.

I think my blood lines could use some color. We all look like we have the flu. We are an Irish/German blend. Adding some mix into our family will definetly pretty us up some.

I thought about the "end of world conflict" part of it..but it doesn't seem like history has prevented people from killing their own people.

Honestly, times change, borders change, cultural groups change. You don't see people going back all the way to their great ancestors who were part of the great city state of Athens or Sparta, do you? In a couple hundred years, your current cultural identity may not even matter... the countries we know now may not even exist. Why we hold onto this sense of "I am part Irish, german..." is strange to me. I have found that in almost every other country aside from America, they just say "yeah I'm german" or "Yeah I'm Spanish".

Who carse if your great great great grandma sailed over for Poland and married a half-English Half-Dutch settler and had 1/3 Polish, English, and Dutch babies(which isn't even based in fact, since all these nations started out from other places to begin with).

Honestly I could write a long essay about the strange ideas of Americans related to cultural identity, but ill stop it here.

When people refer to being "25% this" and "50% that" they're ussualy refering to their acentrial chain so that you can better understand their family values. Now if somebody from Maine trys to convice everyone they're from Germany, they're just an assho :P If they say their parents came from Germany, that's a little more believable.
