The Happiest Moments of Our Lives
The topic? Self explanatory. The posts? No flames. The love? Let it flow.
The Happiest Moment of My Life
The Scene
It's 21 April 2004. We are in Heidelberg, Germany, on top of a mountain looking down at the University. The temperature is in the 60's. It's not cold, not hot, but cool enough to keep Eileen and I in eachothers arms. It's around 2 O'clock in the afternoon. We are sitting on a blanket. The wind is blowing through our hair. The river is flowing peacefully.
The Event
Eileen and I are sitting there enjoying a beautiful day on our vacation in Germany. We sit and talk. We've been talking for the last several hours. I don't know what we were talking about, but that doesn't matter. The time I spent looking into her eyes is what matters to me. There is nothing more perfect in the world. The most beautiful girl in the world, with the softest voice, the sweetest touch, the kindest heart, the most entrancing eyes, sits in front of me. And we're hopelessly in love. This moment seems to last forever.
The Moment
We're sitting across from eachother. Our mouthes are moving, but our hearts are racing, and our eyes are transfixed into the gaze of the other's. Then, something special seems to happen. Time seems to stop around us. It get's very quiet. Something comes over us. We want this moment to last forever. In almost uncanny unison, we both lean forward to kiss the other. And I felt my entire soul explode in joy, and it was the most remarkable feeling I've ever had. It's not like we hadn't kissed before. It was something about the moment. We were caught in the moment. That was our moment.
I wish I could still be in that moment right now.
------------
Now that I've shared mine, what are your happiest moments?

It'll happen... you'll just have to wait.
My other happiest moment was the day before I left Japan...
I got a call from a girl that I liked and she confessed her love to me.
I was so surprised that I wanted to stay...
But now I'm here in godforsaken Virginia!!!

My Happiest & Joyous moment was when my Son was born and I was the first to hold him in my arms. Mrs Dood was a little too dopey to do that. The Second and just as equal moment was when my Daughter was born and I was the first to hold her in my arms. Mrs Dood again was too dopey! In all fairness she had cesarean sections. Yes I was present when they operated on my Wife. I even have photos of the children coming out of her. The Doctor insisted I take them.
This is why it totally baffles/angers me when people neglect and/or abandon their children. Once you hold them for the first time and see their helpless little faces that will change your life forever. You can not help but love them and protect them all thier lives. Even when they become Sassy Mean-Agers!

Even though Mrs. Aniewiel was very dopey after 18 hours of labor BEFORE the c-section, the most wonderful moment of my life was the day my precious little girl was born. I was the 2nd to hold her but I had already held her for 9 months.
My second, third and fourth moments? Seeing my baby after each of my 3 surgeries this past year. Every morning when I wake up, I thank God above for another day with her.

Any more outbursts like that le91688, and you will be banned. Stick to topic, use the brains I assume God gave you and, if you have nothing constructive to add to the topic, do not type anything.

I don't have a happiest moment yet. I'm sure that will come later.
As of right now my happiest moment is seeing Aniewiel's wicked new title.

Show me the Smite Key!! Aniewiel needs a herald to announce her arrival in a topic.
Happiest moment... wow, I hate to sound like a downer but I've had a lot more down moments than happy ones. The best would probably have to be after my wedding.
My wife and I left the reception, got to the hotel, flopped down in the bed, and we both said to each other "Thank God that's over!" The wedding was a formality for something we had already known for years, that we wanted to spend the rest of our lives together. So the happiest moment was actually having the formality over and done with.

I kinda know what you mean, Aracos. When people ask me what the happiest moment in my life is, I can't really give them an answer. My life up to this point has been what it's been made to be, nothing really for me in a sense. When people ask me how I am, the answer is "Same as always", ups and downs, rough patches, and happy moments, they're all normal and always changing, they're "always" to me. No out of the ordinary happy or sad moments come to mind, for me.
