Well then, shoot me dead, I loath making mistakes and failing. I've made more mistakes in the last approx. 5 yrs than I did in the previous 30 give or take. I will simply avoid doing something if I know I'm going to fail, I see no reason to torture myself. Right now I'm taking one last risk with my heart, if it doesn't turn out I'll go find a nice cave to crawl into and disappear.

Well, Sino, I hope everything is going well for you right now.
Being Friends: In my opinion and experience, it always works out better if you're friends first, then you can try dating once you both know each other. I've not been turned down yet with this theory. (2 out of 2, one ended gently after a year by girlfriend, next one eventually became my wife)
Being Yourself: You can't be anyone else. And would you want to date someone if you can't be who you are? Every relationship has to be built on trust and it's hard to trust someone if you don't know who they are.
Rejection It's really hard to hear (and experience) but rejection will most likely come. The good news is you will learn from every experience if you choose to. (Some people just choose the wrong lessons to learn...) Take it in stride. Let the hurt pass in time.
"If she likes you, she's just as nervous..." is probably true. If she's not nervous, at least she'll be interested to hear what you might have to say.
Good luck Sino and safe romantic journeys.

Well, I took all the advice which you all gave me and just went for it. I just popped the question after talking to her twice in total. She said YES. WOOOHOOOO! Problem now is that she wants to go to a dance. That would be swell, except I can't dance. Problems just don't end.

Go to an Asian friend, and ask to borrow DDR.
Oh, and make sure you don't show any racist tendancies during your date.

look, if all else fails, you can go with one of 2 techniques perfected by my best friend.
1. walk up and slap her ass.
2. say i want to f*ck you.
from what i hear, success levels have been pretty high.
now, the only requirement is to be 6'2", have a 6 pack and big arms, and fairly handsome.

I had success today too! After work I wound up going to her class and met her friend. Turns out I knew her friend Jenny from this summer in chem class! She always sat near me and talked to me after class. She recognized me and flirted a bit which I dont know if that was bad or good, most women want the desirable though. More women wanting you = the girl wondering why you are so intriguing. After class we headed so I could tutor her, but the truth is I suck at tutoring lol. We wound up laughing.
After a little while this guy came up with the local school newspaper and asked if any of us had been to the new mall across campus. Even though I told him no he said it would be great if we just said some funny shop. Marrissa (the girl <3) said she remembered some "The Princess Shop" and said it had alot of funny clothes. So I put down my name, major, etc and put down the Princess Shop lol! She got a good laugh.
After a bit more of me struggling I asked her a few questions. ONE, how come she remembered me from Biology class when we never talked. I mean hell I smiled at her but never talked to her. TWO, if she was single (Yay for me she was!). Three, how confident she was in the test we had in conservation biology earlier, because afterwards we argued about the first question. She of course said she was very confident so I asked if we should put a bet. She agreed, so I did the cheesy "If im right we hang out together", she then asked and if she was right? I asked her to make a wager, she said "You have to hang out with me!" Hell that was good enough for me!
Tomorrow I plan on going to the library again where she works and taking her breakfast (blue berry muffin =P ) which she missed after I took it to her one day and missed on Wed. Then I just plan on talking with her like a human being.
Anyways I was excited and my day was just that much better. I swear I went to the gym and felt that much more confident =) Maybe if im not lazy I will post pics of us or something, but that will be way later on. If I do ill most likely put them on my Myspace account which is in my profile.
Good Luck to ya Sino-Soviet, Im not fond of dancing either lol. I always tell girls that and they wind up teaching me and that is always fun. Im more of a laid back chill out with friends guy, and I try and make sure I let girls know how I am. Most get mad that I dont like the whole "lets get drunk at the club scene", but thats their loss. Its funny when some even go and say "well im trying to get outta the party scene" thats always funny too.

Dancing.....ugh. The thought of me dancing just cracks me up every time. I've talked to few people in my dorm about this and they said that no one in the 21st century actually knows how to dance; they just move around. Nontheless, I'd probably die of embarassment on the spot.

Haha unfortunately this is true. When I go to the clubs I look around and its basically girls bent over with guys wiggling behind frantically
Its just not my style I guess, im more of a romantic type of guy. I like to go to places like ripleys haunted house, the zoo, museums etc. Its always fun and can't go wrong! Haunted house is awesome because lots of touching is involved
Good luck with the frantic wiggling!

Wow, well then this thread is full of opinions, isnt it?
Why then did you feel the need to pick out my post?
And yea your right it is my "opinion". An "opinion" that many of guys (that more than likely have been through the same situation) agree with. So please try again later, your post is usless.
