The math is actually serious.
I studied it as an undergrad.
If you have a ruler that's infinitely long - there are an infinite number of "inch marks" but that still doesn't include the spaces in between. In mathematics, these other terms were created to be able to relate infinitely large sets that are entirely different.

I studied math with infinities also, but I still found it ridiculous.
Here's a conundrum:
Before something moves an inch, it must move a half inch. Before it moves a half inch, it must move a quarter inch. Before it moves a quarter inch, it must move 1/8 of an inch. Before it moves 1/8 of an inch, it must move 1/16 of an inch. Before it can move 1/16 of an inch.....
Doesn't this render motion mathematically impossible?

Well, what defines "motion?"
It's distance/time (e.g. speed)
Well, let's say a snail moves an inch per hour. It'll move 1/8 inch in 1/8 hour. Movement (distance/time) is preserved.

I shouldn't say it's mathematically impossible. The initiation of motion is mathematically, philosophically, and logically impossible.

tis. think about this.
one object moving at 2 m/s (A)
another object 1 metre infront of the first moving at 1 m/s
(B)
in half a second A is where B was at the beginning of the half second. but B is now half a meter forward.
quatre of a second later A is now where B was again. but now B is 1/4 meters ahead.
1/8th of a second later A is now where B was but now B is 1/8th of a meter further on.
this carries on into infinintesimaly small times and distances. how can one thing collide with another?
i surmise this means there is either a smallest possible amount of time. or a smallest possible distance.
these however mean that it is impossible to begin movement.

anyway. back to monkeys. I like the diamond mine idea (simpsons style). or we could get them to try and find a molecular semiconductor. THEN to write fortune cookies...

According to physics, two particles of the same electrical charge (i.e., 2 protons or 2 electrons) can never touch. Therefore, in theory, no object can ever touch another object (electrons are always on the outside). There are miniscule spaces between every atom that makes up your body...

no effect.
1) Illusory weaponry only works with melee attacks.
2) i'm fairly sure it negates dmg from ALL sources. including spell effects.
