Smurf Hunter: Rainforest beef is reffering to the fact that big corps such as BK would pay small farmers in Central America (at cheaper prices) for their beef. These farmers would create grazing land for their cattle by destroying the Rainforest. When you look at the intrinsic value the Rainforest has BK was shelling out pennies

As far as those burgers they are both horrible. If im gonna eat something bad for my health I might as well make it damned amazing. Im more of a health nut though and have specific diet for building muscle mass and staying healthy. By diet I dont mean losing weight, it means I have written down exactly what goes into my body etc. Barne and Nobles or Borders have GREAT nutrition books. You would never think about all the different things that effect you body and how REALLY important eating right truely is!

Yup, that's the problem with the rainforest burning: it's a short-term way of saving dough. As far as bleeding the cows, blood must be drained from an animal before the meat is edible. The FDA demands that animals be knocked out before they're bled since it's so painful and inhumane to bleed them while they were still conscious. McDonalds doesn't follow this guideline, however, since it takes less time to just bleed them.

And as far as White Castle goes, we don't have them down here in the Dirty South, but we have Krystals and I love 'em to death.

Im going into the medical field and am always reading on either muscle building and or the physiology of the body so this stuff intrigues me.

Not really watching my health as far as living a healthy lifestyle. Its part of my everyday life along with weight training and cardio. The thing is to read and be informed on nutrition is just as important as training.

I may only live once, but I am going to make sure it was all worth it. Dying at 38 of Coronary disease is not the way I wanna go, all from eating a lowsy 1 dollar burger from those f*cks. Right now im enjoying learning, and at the same time the benefits of being a stud from my "watching health", because it does pay off!

Rather be an educated muscle bound monkey, than a unhealthy couch potato that can just think of quick witty one liners.

Pollo has a point, and his name makes me think of El Pollo Loco, mmm... grilled chicken sounds good... Personally, I eat as little fast food as possible though (too much salt in the food). But I'm just wierd like that. I eat healthy because, too me, it actually tastes better. Processed food just tastes wrong for some reason.

The problems are unhealthy foods are cheap and convenient. Most people do not have time to sit down and prepare a healthy meal. Many people over look the importance of healthy nutrition. Hence all the negatives that come with it and cost us billions a year =/

Good thing I like to cook... It really doesn't take that long to prepare something healthy to eat either. Dam lazy people. One other thing I think people overlook in eating habits is the importance of eating regularly (not missing meals). Regular, healthy, eating means a good metabolism. Anyone who would happen to see me would probably notice I'm always eating something (apples usually, sometimes bananas and carrots). And of course I do work it off, can't forget to do that. Bottom Line: it is healthy to eat, just eat smart.

Man this thread got hijacked

Haha it really is not that hard its just most people have gotten lazy. Its already part of my every day life along with work school etc.

LOL witty one liners are great eh? Never said anything against you though, just bringing up some of the reasons why healthy eating is better. Yes it does taste good.

The Epic is correct in saying that regular and healthy eating = good metabolism. Just go to your local Book Retailer and take a gander at the health section. It is definately worth your time to take care of yourself.
