I pick Alice as the greatest game ever. Eternal Darkness is also tons of fun. Asheron's Call will always have a place in my heart too.
Oh, and hi... I am new here. Seems like a fun place with nice people!

Shadowrun! Loved that RPG but I started with D&D back in the early 80's so I like it too.
As far as computer games go... What started it all for me was Ultima III (Exodus) but I think Ultima IV (Quest of the Avatar) was the best Computer RPG. Games like Guild Wars really owe a lot to the early RPG (Ultima in particular)
Diablo was way ahead of it's time and is still a timeless classic that puts a lot of b rated titles of today to shame.
Guildwars is my Ultima these days. Are there other games? Here are my alltime favorites.
Best Board Game: Axis and Allies
Best Pen and Paper RPG: Shadowrun
Best Computer RPG: Ultima IV: Quest of the Avatar
Best Turn Based Strategy Game: Civilization III
Best Online Hack and Slash: Diablo Series
Best Real Time Strategy: StarCraft
Best Time Sink Today: Guildwars

The Patriots win too much!!
And yes, the Chrno games aren't timeless, but they could be if the whole story didn't revolve around a certain time period.

Wowza you all have some great taste in games. BUT....
The best game of all time (FUN FACTOR) was the fighter game CLASSIC...
THRILL KILL!!! for playstaion.
Was A B*TCH to get ahold of and if you want it or dont know what it is ...google away friends
Nothing more fun to watch then tearing it up in a huge brawl, winning and have the main character (female) fall on the ground and start having a ... O nm look it up

Since I put it in the PS1 thread, I figured I have to plug for it here too. How about some love for Castlevania: Symphony of the Night? Absolute gaming bliss. I still bust it out and play it now and then. IMO it beats Super Metriod at its own game for 2D action/adventure... and the soundtrack is still simply amazing.

Foxboro and Bill Belichick are Peyton Manning's kryptonite. He simply cannot beat them there. Heck I don't know if he can beat them at Indy either... but at least he'd have a CHANCE. At Gillette Stadium though, it's not even a contest.

I play fetch with my dog.
He never cheats.
He never quits.
He plays with all his heart and soul.
He doesn't brag or complain.
He's a good sport - we're best friends before the game and after the game.
He can always find time for a game.
Doesn't get much better than that.

-------------3 BEST RPGS (for me)-----------------------
Final Fantasy 7 ----- (RPG)
Greatest story line and replay value in a game I've found up to date.
Kingdom Hearts ---- (Action RPG)
Most original concept.
The Legend of zelda: Ocarina of time --- (Action RPG)
Good story, good characters, interesting puzzles and fun system to play with. All in all a good game.
-----------3 Best others (for me)---------------------------
Riven: The sequel to myst ----- (Puzzle game)
Most mind puzzling game I ever played. I played (seriously) months on it. It's truly a magnificent game full of mysteries and possessing it's own culture.
Black and White ---- (N/A)
Most planned and indepth game ever created. The level of interaction with you, the world and your pet is just......staggering.
Heroes of might and magic IV-----------(Tactics)
Nice game made by a defunct company! Good thing Ubisoft is making another one soon.
-----------3 Other kinds of games (not video games)-----------------
Dungeon and Dragons --------- (RPG)
Truly the thing that started the Video game rpg industry. Inspired by J.R.R Tolkien, this game is absolutely amazing. My father played it 20 years ago, still plays it. I've been playing it for 4 years!
Everyone has to know what it is!
http://www.wizards.com/default.asp?x=dnd/whatisdnd
Titan----------------(Board game fantasy)
A very old board game my father kept. Your player is a Titan (A giant god) he amasses an army and tries to crush the army of other players on the board, heroes of might an magic style. I don't think it's published anymore.
Paint ball --------------- (Sport)
I guess all you guys out there know what this is. For those who don't it,s a game where you use guns that shoot balls of paint, and you shoot each other army style outdoors.
--------------------------------------------------------------------
***By the way I'm a women, and Yes I like video games and paint ball***
Doesn't that screw up your perception?!
