I have been made Happy
The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion;
Quote:
What platforms will Oblivion appear on?
Oblivion will be available on PC and future generation consoles.
|
Quote:
What are the PC system requirements?
Oblivion will certainly look the best on the latest hardware available when
the game is released. In developing the game, we were very forward-thinking
and tried to push the envelope technologically. So, the latest hardware will
best showcase all that Oblivion has to offer.

Oh yeah PC baby; no need for that over priced M$ xbox360 (or dealing with crazy out of control parents that want one for there children)
Wont be multi-player; so i doubt they'll have an internet type; then THAT would be the ultimate MMO; gosh I love Morrowind...

A few people ingame (guild wars) sometimes ask these questions..
They want to relase it in Q1 of 2006 Febuary...

Yay PC! However, I personally don't like the Elder Scrolls games. At least, I don't like the last one. I bought Morrowind, played it for a week, didn't like it, never played it again. I guess this is one of those games for people who like to take things slowly. I guess I'm one who likes taking things pretty fast. Anyways, I'm still going to check out Oblivion when it comes out, the graphics look nice and I'm expecting a more enticing storyline to keep me playing.

I got through III, but barely. I'd be delivering something to Balmoria, then
I wanted to take a different path. And I found a cave. And the cave had a
tomb. And the tomb let out in a sewer. And the sewer was under a city.
And the city had.....
Yeah, A.D.D kids shouldn't play Morrowind.

1. I hope you're not suggesting that I have A.D.D., because I don't.
2. I beat Morrowind as well, Dagoth Ur was easy to beat but took a long time to do so, and even more so when you had to destroy that big giant thing.
3. Money!

Will Oblivion include multiplayer?
For now, Oblivion is a single-player game only.
One must hope.

I wasn't calling you a ADD kid, just saying that getting sidetracked in that
game is as easy as aggroing one of those Cliff Racers.
Come to think of it the last thing I did in that game was make a 50 foot
AoE with all elements in it and quite literally RID THE LAND of those squaking
bastards.
Hate Cliff Racers. Hate them with every fiber of my being.

I was really bummed when this got delayed to Q1 2006. It was supposed to be out around Thanksgiving (and a launch title for X360), but now it looks like it'll be at least 3 or 4 more months before we see it.

Bahh. I grow tired of games that have short uninteresting story lines. I like an in depth and involved game. The only other game that i play atm besides guild wars is doom three and after i beat it the first time through i swore off fps type games. I just seem to get a better gaming experience with longer rpg's. Star ocean till the end of time was awesome if you did everything in it and it took me months to play it completely thourgh. It is a shame that they didnt make it for the pc.

Ummm.. Diablo III.. Im dying for it.. As soon as I get my comp back, I'm gonna instal and start playing DII again, after giving up on it over more than a year ago.
<3
[EDIT]
I noticed I'm in the wrong thread, and my diablo III commentary does not belong in here.

Ehhh personally i am waiting for the next great epic mmorpg that i can really sink my fangs into. I hope it comes along soon because guild wars is quickly loosing my interest along with most other games. So please come quickly oh great mmo with a loooonnnnggg involved story line and great graphics and inovative game play. Not that i mind hack and slash i actually prefer it to turn base.

Yay Oblivion! I'll have to upgrade my machine for it though - the CPU is a bit slow by current standards. I loved Morrowind - running around stealing everything until you couldn't even walk was great fun
But I'm also waiting for the PS3. More FF games (I hope), plus the graphics for games like Killzone 2 look awesome

I really don't understand why people slurp up Sony so much. IMO the PS2 had the weakest selection of console exclusives of any of the big three, as well as the worst overall graphical performance. And it looks like that problem is going to get worse since one of its biggest franchises (Final Fantasy) is already leaking onto other consoles. FFXI is coming to X360, and there's going to be a new incarnation of FF:CC on the Rev.
On-topic: Yay Oblivion! Boo delays!

I use to play Elder Scrolls 3 Marrowind on my friends xbox; and man it was all about huge level gains; self summon then kill for Deadric weapons; make the weapons so overpowered; finding candels that look alike for your pimped out house... then killing the gods in the other realm's ALL of em for the pimped unqiue items.
Oh did I mention I would max out all stats? all legit...
making custom spells ah man if they keep it like it was....
Drain Stat
On self over (X)time
and the game stops when you Talk to someone/options window
Im going to be in total love... KILL THE NPC'S... no wait... Sell them your things THEN KILL THEM and take it back to resell muahahhahaha.

Phew. Was a little nervous that I'd have to buy a Crapbox 420 to play the newist Scrolls. Even though I LOVE sci-fi, I do enjoy playing Scrolls and being a kleptomaniac :3
