Sony 'Rootkit' DRM disables WoW "Warden" Spyware
Found this amusing, word got out about Sony and some audio cd's that install a DRM (Digital Rights Management) program as a rootkit (nearly invisible to the system and to the user even if you know how to find it).

That was rather entertaining, and a good read in general.
With each company working to protect their own intellectual rights at the expense of the consumers, I hadn't thought that they might also be trodding on each other's toes. I like it, it's a certain type of irony. |
