The End Of Days
I was watching Good Morning America(GMA) and they were talking about the tornadoes that occured in Iowa and Hurricanes Katrina and Rita as signs of the End Of Days. Is this true? Is it all a superstition? Is it juts global warming at its worst?
I believe that its just global warming. What do you think?

Americans driving their big, gas hogging SUV's is causing global warming, which is going to trigger another ice age. What, you think I make this stuff up?

No actualy proof of global warming, belive it or not. I used to fully belive in it until I really looked into it. Was very surprised. I heard our president didn't belive in it, so I knew it was worth looking into. You may not want to realize it, but our president isn't as stupid as you think he is. I figured "If he doesn't belive in it, there HAS to be a reason." So I looked, researched, and bingo - the weather has ALWAYS gone through shifts of crappy to normal, mostly here in New England.
As for End of Days? Not until 50 cent gets an oscar. THAT'S when the world has gone insane and we will all die.
And I heard as it were, the noise of subwoofers. One of the four brothahs saying "Yo dawg, come and see." And I saw. And behold, a white Escalade, and the name that sat on it, was Snoop. And hell followed with him.
Thank you, thank you. I'll be here all week.

We'll anyone who has substantial knowledge of the Bible will know that it has been said that we will hear of "wars and rumors of wars," "famines," "pestilences," and "earthquakes in diverse places" as signs of the end times.
Jesus states those things and many others as signs of the end of days in Matthew 24:6-28.
There are also things that when you do an in-depth study of certain Old-Testament prophecies along with some number work and connections with those prophecies coming true, you could be easily convinced that we are coming upon the end times depicted in Revelation in the Bible.

Actually, burning of fossil fuels seems to be a much more dangerous issue as far as our oceans are concerned. Out of everything that can happen with global warming and greenhouse gases, this result looks to the worst. Most of the other stuff we can adapt to.
We kill the oceans we are done.

Im sorry to remind you that christianity is one of the MANY religinions. I myself, am christain, and i beleive in jesus and god, BUT I DO NOT BELEIVE IN CHURCHES OR PREIST. thats just another business devolped by power hungry RED ENGINE GOREes. Now, considering that since there are SO MANY, and most of them adress a god, perhaps not the same one, but a god. There has to be some facts behind the reason these religons were devolped. So i wouldent say *OMG EARTH IS GOING TO BE DESTROYED BECAUSE JESUS SAID SO*.... errrr..... i bet theres a religon out there that says Everyones religon is wrong and everyone has to die. But that dun make it true now does it .

Actually I've noticed an affect up in Calgary Alberta, Canada. It seems the massive temperature frop that we get at the End of Oct came a bit later about like about middle Nov.
Conclusion: HA you guys are going to burn while we enjoy ourselfs
O ya if your relating to The Day After Tomorrow and think we're going to freeze here a few facts about those currents.
The Currents Bring Warm water to Europe making it warmer and COLDER water to the Maratime Area (Canada's Eastern Shore). If those currents disappear the European and Maratime areas would be Evenly Temeratured.

Yeah, we live in Iowa, there's tornadoes. And corn, and grass, and corn, and soybeans, and tornadoes, and corn, and soybeans, and other shit as well. Go figure, it's Iowa. Some will say God is pissed, I say it happened because swirly shit in the air went and screwed some shit up.
Go figure. If we all die in six years because all these are signs of the "End of Days" then big deal. It's harder to live than it is to die, if we deserve to die we deserve to die. Big RED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GOing deal, I guess.
Woot.

End of Days? They're just fear-mongering.
These natural disasters are nothing compared to disasters and plagues of the past. There were moments in history that had much more reason to fear the "End of Days."
For instance:
Consider the Bubonic Plague which spread across Asia and Europe. Between 1347 and 1352, a span of 5 years, a third of Europes population died from the "Black Death" - that's 25 million people! I can't even imagine what it must've been like then.
In 1815 Tambora, Indonesia the largest volcano eruption in recorded history killed 92,000 people from the initial eruption and the subsequent famine. 1816 became the year without a summer as the global climate effects were felt. Aerosols from the Tambora eruption blocked out sunlight and reduced global temperatures by 3 deg C. Europe missed a summer, and India had crop failures following the Tambora eruption. Ten thousand people were killed immediately from the pyroclastic flows and the eventual toll due to starvation and disease may have been as high as 117,000.
The 1737 Calcutta earthquake and cyclone killed an estimated 300,000 people.
Now compare that to the casualties from the tornados we've got this year. We're living in better times - it's just that modern news and hype travels much faster than in the past. We've got it so good nowadays we've become wusses.
