Until the DS Pokemon is released, I'm not putting down the money for it. My GBA SP works just fine.

Aye, I'm still waiting for my reason to buy the DS... Everything's either a port or a racer of some kind

And the PSP isn't?
Its hard not to make a port, when they've already done everything. Any mario game they make will be concidered a port. Any Sonic game, Donkey Kong game, Zelda game... They will all be concidered ports because they can't really be that different from the originals.

I'm currently having alot of fun playing Super Mario DS it's been forever since I played Mario 64 everything seems new to me again. But I like handhelds for RPGs, I'm not sure why, they just are more fun and easily avaliable on handhelds.

My dust-gathering PSP would hint that it is. But I give it a bit of leniency... some new RPGs are coming out within the month. Not to mention that I can do other fun stuff with a PSP while I wait. All the DS is for me now is another way to play my GBA games.

Quoted for truth. There's simply no compelling reason to buy one right now. And no, wi-fi does not impress me.

Buy a Sony PSP, you can watch movies, listen to MP3.. and play games on its 12-Inch (i think) screen. You know you all want one for Christmas!

You realize that 12 inches is a foot...
I've already argued my points enough about PSP in tons of other threads.
Summary: Doesn't focus on one thing. If it focused on games, it would dominate. Since it doesn't, its a level playing field. Both are equally bad at the moment.
But DS gets their better games in 2 months.

I just read through all those games and not one of them made me remotely interested in getting one.

The DS is awfully fun to play actually. I don't know why but I think its more fun to play than the PSP, even with PSP's whiz-bang technology.
