yes...despite you can use up to 4 GC controllers on the Rev... I think Nintendo know what theyre doing...

I too have no idea if its gonna work out like a charm or flop like virtual boy, but the point is atleast nintendo is making a turn from the conventional. I think that alone deserves priase.

i have no doubt computer + mouse will continue to remain as the prime medium to play a FPS game, but the Rev countroller looks like a definate improvement in FPS gameplay in TV game compared to using the standard controllers.

[QUOTE=Inde]Mmm - did you read the hands on reviews? Most of the reviewers really liked it, and said the Metroid gameplay with the new controller was a lot more intuitive
yaaaaaa i heard about that.....but i bet you its got a better gameplay in pong lol...juss a quick question....why would people pay the same amount on a rev. if nintendo continues to show that they cannot keep up with the advances made on such systems....i mean its about time nintendo came up with a comparable system as the ps2....but there 4 years off. .....i guess if youd rather play classic games and beat games that require 2 to 3 braincells firing at any given time than nintendo is your system.....but as sales shower....nintendo will never be where it was at one point

I'm gonna go with.... They've totally lost their sanity.
Using a remote control and a mouse to play a videogame=bad
I'm just curious but whoever designed this controller must be on some type of drug... Or he's just insane, the day that you can have fast-paced battles with that thing I'll have croaked.
And, I doubt it's gonna be possible to actually use an FPS witha remote control...

Remember there is a Joystick add-on to the remote, I haven't seen anyone mention it.

I have a feeling this is gonna rock...not only because its Nintendo but because it looks fun to play with. As for controller itself I hope they come in pink.
I would love to take a new direction for video games instead of the same old games with just better graphics(XBOX and PS3). The Rev. controller gives games more depth and makes you feel like YOU are In the game.
The Rev. controller is the best innovation Nintendo has created.
I also believe Nintendo is taking a big risk by doing this. Its very pretty and all but it takes a dramatic sidestep from traditional gaming which might be a turn off for some players.
In that video, the FPS looks cool to do. I hope they make it so you have to lock and load your controller. That would be awesome. And it would teach kids how to load guns.
As for me, I'm gonna pass up XBOX 360, get a PS3 and a Revolution.

You guys talk too much. I thought it was gay after seeing screenshots, but the video gave me so much faith. Revolution controller has the most potential out of the 3.

I dont care what anyone else says, this thing is gonna pwn. just imagine playing a FPS where you actually aim at the screen besides duck hunt and time crisis! and the whole being able to zoom by moving the controller closer and farther is ingenious. I cant wait for a maro party with this baby!! and if you get mad at someone, you can use the convenient nunchucku design to go ninja on their ass. some games i can see it being weird to play, but it will just take some getting used to. When someone can amke a tv into a touchscreen, they have a work of art. That is exactly what the revolution controller is; a work of art.
