Well I found something that we all can relate to when it comes to runescape. (Well the people who dislike it however.) When you make a game that feels more like a chore while playing it then fun, the game it self pretty much goes down into the dumps for any one out there looking for a fun mmorpg such as GW.

I got to nearly lv 100 but gave up, just being able to get into the dang mine guide nearly broke my finger off.

try fishing much easyer i fished lobsters to make alot of my money.

btw im lvl 80+ in it with 20 million. quite once this rare thing got out of hand.

I used to play...

but then i decided that maybe life isn't all about cutting down trees and selling them to shops that'll never be able to sell the logs because its cheaper to buy the axe and you can always find somebody building fires to level up in that department for some strange reason and you can cook your chicken over there fire instead...

...i think i started with a point but i forgot it.

Anyways i forgot my name and password so even if i wanted to play again (which i don't and never will) i couldn't.

the ups and downs of guild wars/runescape

guild wars ups: it's an easy game to get rich at

runescape downs: it's very hard unless you got a rare to make millions takes a long time

guild wars downs: hard to beat the game some partys go in and get you killed

runescape ups: theres food you can eat to protect yourself and the wild seems to be the only bad place really where you get owned

guild wars ups: no wild and a pk place if monsters kill you dont lose your stuff

runescape: if you die you can lose everything on ya if you got a skull over your head or all but your 3 best items

it's hard to sum up it all but in the end i pick runescape prob cuz it's more like real life.

You don't know the epitome of sh!tty MMO's untill you've played Maple Story...

Back in the day I played RuneScape, All I did was farm coal and PvP. I never went higher than 40ish on my PvP guy, I had this even sceme going where I only had 10 defense (and wore black armor) but my attack/strength was friggen JACKED, and I ran around with a Rune 2Her and friggen pwned people. Good times.

The game wasn't half bad back in the day, I logged on a month or so ago to check it out and it has turned into complete ass. Overly complicated and not even close to fun. It was good at one point, but now it blows. Oh well.

I used to play that game constantly, I had a lvl 67 account with 4.2 million gold, but i sold the money to a friend for 80 bucks

. but I still have the account for getting holiday items and such

In late December I paid for Membership again. Even while I continue Guild Wars..

This is why..

Its Fun. True the graphics suck, the community is made up of mostly "leet" 8 yr olds, and the company isn't enough in touch with the community. That really doesn't matter to me - There is fun and pleasure for me to be had in clicking that same spot and getting that next lvl.

I played RS for just about a year and a half, I got addicted to that, I got to level 112, all I did was PK, join the 'big'-clans.

My name was "Liquid Morph". Then I found Guild Wars.

Was doing the exact same thing.

Got bored of PKing and such, was browsing www.mmorpg.com for some Free, or Cheap MMORPGs, found GW, ordered it, ain't stoppd playing since I bought it.

I played 1 year, I got to combat level 79 with 900+ skills total. I still have 2 mil. cash and 2 santas, never been member though.

its like a damn cult at my school. Everyone randomly shouts "RUNESCAPE!" in classes and stuff. it is quite funny to watch though
im not even sure if they all play it properly.
Personally i dislike it. I much prefer Guild wars

Guild wars is alot of fun but it gets boring really fast once you get all your money and stuff and beat the game it's boring

runescape always has updates and in members they add more quests and items and more stuff guild wars does not do this offen

runescape is the hardest role playing game ever made im happy i was up to the challage to do well

just a warning tho just like diablo it can be very addictive

when i had no life i played diablo II 12 hours a day!

runescape 10 hours a day

guild wars over 12 hours a day till i beat the game

my father used to call the computer a one eyed monster that was really key for me to cut it out.

but i know have a life not much time for games every now and then i enjoy playing one of them but maybe for an hour or two
