Well actually I read the halo books.. I know it sounds really nerdish but the prequel and sequel to "The Flood" Which is based on the Actual Halo game are both written by Eric Nylund and are actually really good. They explain a lot of the backstory and its more than just Must kill everything. It basically about the master chief as he's becoming a Spartan and some big mystery with Dr.Hasley if she's even in the games lol.

Been reading about how Halo 3 may not be done in time to launch at the same time as the PS3. It was originally slated to come out at the end of next year, if there smart they will not try this move and make halo 3 right the 1st time or possible kill halo franchise with a incomplete / rushed game. How much do you want to bet that Halo will require an hard drive (for patching purposes).

Anyone play a Xbox 360 demo kiosk yet?

All the ones in my area are disabled...apparently the controllers interfer with the registry scanners... -.-

My outlook on the next generation is this: The Xbox360 is to the Xbox as Windows XP is to Windows 2000. A bloated, unneccessary and expensive upgrade that doesnt really improve on the original.

X-box.. Playstation and Gamecube... Okay let's look at the biggest games.

X-Box: Halo... Halo 2 who sucked but YET people still bought and played it.
For the RPGs Starwars and the sequel. Oh and fighters... DOA? And then a bunch of other games that were on older systems brought back in a huge collection (same goes for all the other systems)

The only games I got for Xbox were Halo1 and KOTOR. That's it.. Any other games I played on my friend's xbox who had it modded (I mean paying that much on a xbox and then getting every xbox game for pratically free is a good deal... but that's not about the actual X-box.. that WASN'T supposed to happen.)

Playstation: Well damn I've seen a lot of games on this console... and that's besides the FinalFantasy Series which PS took their ride on to make it through. Not to mention many many games made to fit anyone's taste. Sure there have been a quite few ANIME style games which I don't mind (I do like anime) but I know not everyone enjoys that. yet then again it's not the systems fault when all systems have been drowning in REALLY REALLY sad games this year... I mean I haven't seen any games enjoyable unless it was Resident evil 4 or games that have been out already..
PS is known for the Resident/FF games that helped alot and fan boys.

I own a PS2 and I enjoy the games I bought. A lot of games of xbox I wouldn't buy at first glance... *Side Note* Playstation became a PSOne (smaller version) PS2 Became a smaller PS2 Does anyone think PS3 will become a smaller PS3?

Gamecube: Well besides the games that are fun without 'realism' junkies and just good old fun with other people that's all it is.. it's still more towards the younger audience even with the Re-release of all the resident evils in better graphics.. reason why I'm getting a gamecube is to get them actually. But that's about it... Good system and 'cute' with it's fun based entertainment. But that's not enough for some people in reality. (Different from Japan and other countries)

Well this is how I feel about all the systems... It's the games that people flock to the system of course and then the extra capabilities.. Xbox360 seems....okay to me.. nothing too appealing even though it looks like a shiny white Mac computer and reading all the hardware I'm just like... "i'm about to spend over 700 dollars on a new computer with games so I can enjoy their graphics without lagging... WTF am I going to do with a Xbox360 or a PS3 after paying so much I would have to lick the USB ports and make love to it so I can get my moneys worth when games might be like.. 70 bucks each..." fluking shet! I have the money to buy both systems and upgrade my computer with games on all of them (Lawsuit) doesn't mean I'm not going to cringe and fall over... that money is used to keep rent and bills and maybe move out of this dead end town...

At any rate of my life I'm just saying it gets expensive and I dont f*cking trust the first batch of systems released. Remember PS2 craping out from the first batch? not being able to play movies or games after some time..? And the Xboxes from the first batch... had cheap hardrives in them and other components that couldn't play some things.. I know because I have a friend who has the xbox from the first batch... can't Mod it, or play certain games (newer ones I think). Also I heard PS3s melting...that's right MELTING due to over heating and it's obvious.. I didn't see a fan or a vent in that damn thing..

And why is the HDD expensive with the new Xbox? It wasn't so bad with the first xbox but now? Either lose the HDD the headset and the wireless controller and other stuff... Okay sure... I did that. Now I want all of that.. I'm going to have to pay double to get the HDD the headset the wireless controller and other stuff. Talk about grabbing you by the balls. So if you think you're going to get all the stuff in the extra package might as well get it or spend double for not getting it..

Basically I'm not buying either... even if I was actually rich due to income. Not for a while until I know what games and what's good are on both. Not because Halo 3 is one of system and MSG4 is on the other... I like MSG series far more than HALO.. HALO 1 is old and Halo2 is horrid. So I rather wait.

im too lazy to look this up so i guess ill ask it here does anyone know exactly when the ps3 is due to release and will it be $300? i fully support Sony will my bro supports Nintendo. DOWN W/ XBOX! i get the best of 2 worlds. my bro gets the new nintedo system and i get the new playstation system. it all works out

PS 3 release day is somewhere around Fall (or even Spring) 2006. Pricing on the other hand, hard to tell. Some people say its around $400 to the $300 dollar range. I'll definity get a PS3 instead of xbox360. Since for one thing, PS3 is a huge improvement over PS2. And who know what new technology stuff it willl be included in the PS3.

ok...I have played A 360 at my local Gamestop...The graphics are sweet...they had a demo of King Kong you can actually see the detail on the persons faces!! I still hate it but its nice.

I seem to struck a nerve on Link!

Pretty graphics can be done with a decent PC setup. So just becasuse the games look pretty doesn't mean the gameplay will be great.

I have tried the X360, and I am a bit disappointed tbrh... only 3 demos to try out and a possible headache with the added shoulder buttons means that I'll wait until the hype is down till I get one. Also, I can check the ingames (actual games when they come out, HOPEFULLY Elder Scrolls 4) and decide whether to keep with CGEN/NGEN PC games or buy the damn thing in February.

Yes the xbox360 its a bloated price tag for an upgrade.. like anything from Apple... this version wont even wait for the next generation format...
BLU-RAY, yeah take that HD-DVD supporters.
anyhow... 512mb of ram.. wow what an upgrade from 64 MB, costs 400$ to do. wait it removes the HDD?

and to top it all off consoles still use onboard video... when will they learn.
