did i mention that i want to get some firecracker and tie it to bunch of xbox360 and blow it up sky high?
now thats entertainment!
But looking from what Sony did to the PS2, (making it slim and lightweight, but it can't connect the HDD) but Microsoft never did anything to redo the original xbox? is it because Microsoft don't have the money to rebuild xbox (making it lighter? do more function) but who think the next gen console will gone through at least one major changes during the system life cycle?

go here it expalins that if they wanted to microsoft has the money to sell xbox360 for $199 and still make a profit. As for ps3, they are predicting that they will lose more than $1 billion dollars in the 1rst year of the release.

hmmm... this article scare me a bit. If you read the part when Sony Computer Entertainment president Ken Kutaragi said that PS1 and PSP was price high but still become popular and sell well. From this article alone, it almost confirm that PS3 will be expensive althought we won't know the final price till the system is near launch time.

well, still my point was just that microsoft did have the money, but didn't decide to make their system smaller, which doesn't matter anyways beacuase I don't move my xbox a lot. I just keep it in my room, the only time its big size had gotten annoying was when i was setting it up for the 1rst time. Besides that, the size of it hasn't affected me at all

I never really had a problem with the size of my Xbox. It's big, but who cares? I don't use it as a frisbee or anything.

Anyone here seen any new information Nintendo Secret Console. Code name "revolution"?
On topic with Nintedo? who think its a good idea for Big N to take Zelda: TP and make it a launch title for Revolution?

I don't know whether it's a good idea or not. However, given the mechanics of the new controller, it could drastically change the gameplay. That may seem bad at first, but look what it did for Ocarina of Time....

you can called me "Crazy" but i think Nintendo push back Legend of Zelda: TP for a reason. Its not to fix any bugs or make sure the game is done perfect. Rather, they (Nintendo) is setting this game up as a launch title for Revolution. I mean come on, what can they prove with Gamecube now? Its a dead weight, no one hardly give a crap about what Gamecube games is coming out.
It also make more sense, for Zelda: TP to be a launch title. Since Revolution might not have any must buy game coming out at launch. (Name me any title other than Mario, Donkey Kong, Meteroi) that is going to launch with Revolution and will make you want to get the system.

Exactly, and its all about performance, the Xbox won hands down. The Xbox 360 is going to be the new king of the hill. I can't wait for mine.

xbox
the xbox w/o the removable harddrive, it seems like if u get that then it wont work as well as the one with a harddrive, and that one is 400$
There a lot of better things to spend 400$ on, but I may end up buying the 360 anyway.

Mr Gates seems mighty pleased with his XBox360 campaign. They will be releasing Halo 3 at the same time as the PS3. and people bought an xbox JUST to play halo.
i can see Microsoft being able to quite simply swamp Sony. Microsoft is THE worlds richest company. The xbox series is mean to evolve into the centre of the home (pc, radio, games console, tv, auto food orderer). The amount of money that Microsoft can make from it if it comes off would be collosal. They don't care how much they need to spend on XBox now. They will spend as much as needs spending. they will really have no limit.

Exactly but btw the xbox was released later than the ps2 and that was why it had better specs but with xbox360 releasing earlier the ps3 will have better specs.

Too bad HALO has sucked since the begging of the second game. Sequal? More like a halfassed expansion pack for a worn out game.

Where to begin with Halo 2's problems.
1) The Plot? what plot, what is Master Chief doing from earth to space and back to earth again? confusing, and it didn't make much since when you add in the second playable character. Come on, how can Master Chief co-exist with a convenant ? And exactly what is the convenant doing or why the hell is there a second Halo out there? And who unleashed those floods?
2) Weapons system. I don't get why they remove some of the weapons from the first game and nerfed the rest. The only powerful stuff that you can use is the plasma sword since it got the cheap one hit kill.
3) The enemies. Oh yeah, only got few enemies to fight and later on. You only fight the floods and some of those Gorillas. So it get repeatitive in the later levels.
4) Nothing new is added on for the vehicles or gamplay side. You can get two weapons.. woot.. "Two Weapon" Nothing new was put in except this update and some prettier graphics.

Why would you say that the Xbox 360 without the hard drive would perform any worse? Do you forget that no console had a hard drive before the Xbox and they all performed fine. The original Xbox had some games that streamed content from the hard drive in order to speed load times but the MS has specifically stated that the hard drive won't be used in this fashion in the Xbox 360, obviously becuase not everyone will have the hard drive option. The only real advantage to the hard drive in the Xbox 360 is for games saves instead of using a memory card and for backwards compatibility with some original Xbox games.

Sony is already posting huge losses in its electronics divison due to the PS3 and they aren't going to recoup any of that money until late next year. By then, MS will have stolen even more market share. Sony made the same fatal mistake that Nintendo made years ago, they got too comfortable with their market share and dismissed all their competition, meanwhile quiet and hungry MS has been gobbling up market share slowly but surely and they are now in a better position that Sony this time around. I still think that Sony will do well in this round, but not nearly as well as last generation. I expect this generation to come very close to a 50/50 split, with Nintendo finally falling off the map and out of the console business.
