You don't get it. A lot of developers are around that outnumber the 'visual' developeres. I won't go in-depth because if that's what you think i'll let you be naive.

They forgot to render Aidan's eyelashes in the promo for GW :/ But they did Devona's hair pretty detailed.

I honestly don't see why so many people put down consoles as being inferior to computers for gaming. Personally I think they are a much better medium for gaming for a couple reasons. One: Even though people put down the graphics capabilities of the consoles, those of the next-gen are built with graphics cards and memory capacities that would put the cost of a comparable computer at probably twice that of the console. Second: Things such as audio and video can be better because the quality of the audio devices, and televisions that you can use in conjunction with the console (of course it can swing the other way). Three: They cater specifically to gaming and are not as vulnerable to software problems.
Of course this is all my opinion, and I know many people hold starkly different opinions.

I personally have no interest in any of that shit. Xbox might as well be a toaster oven to me. I am now and for all future time a PC gamer.

ooh, i forgot about that.....(wonders what ff fun is instore for the new consoles)
yeah, theres the blue-ray stuff and the HighDensity dvd to wait it out for.
sony, who are going with the blue-ray...those disks are said to pack a whole 50gigs into them
the HD dvd are only 30gig, though.
personaly, i like the 50gig, i mean, more gigs=more game space
and dont forget, once the new next gens come out, theres usually a drop in prices for the main ex next gen games/consoles
the Gimmies (thats the kids with rich mom+pop that just cant be bothered to tell the kid 'look, just shut up and quit yer whining for , i aint getting it till !' type, so they just buy it for them for a quiet life)
will just get the new stuff, and maybe get rid of thier old stuff...i mean, i dont realy thing you will be able to play xbox on 360, not without SOME kind of gizmo that you pay thru the nose for from microsoft.
hm..xbox as a brother of Talkie Toaster....I like it
'would you like a buttered muffin with your frag grenade?'

I owned and loved my Ps2. But to be fair, between my brother and myself, we bought all three current gen systems.
Gamecube was the first to be traded in..The controller was wack and the games were few in number tat were actaully good - I literally just played through the Zelda's (collecters Disc) a few times and traded it in (BTW - The cube controller totally screwed up the targeting in Zelda - which was designed for N64).
I still have the X-Box, but it has dust on it. I have halo 2 - but rarely play it as Xbox live is crud and costs alot, and all other games (basically) are avialable in jsut as good A quality on PS2.
Ps2 wins..hands down.
Xbox has impressive stats - but Microsoft doesn't have the focus on the gaming community that Sony or nintendo has...(Xbox even completly fell on its face in other countries).
I wouldn't expect this to change.
Microsoft has to learn that Xbox isn't a computer system per say.
That cuppled with its Lackluster launch title list - it doesn't look good. All Microsoft can do is "promise" the killer apps next year...yea..

Exactly: PCs were meant for work and have some great games (especially where the input of choice is mouse and keyboard, like GW and RTS games), but it is wayyyy more expensive to get comparable FPS quality, and not nearly as "pick up and play." Own both a PC and a 'box360. And a Revolution, too. Sony hasn't impressed me yet, and Xbox has only really amazed me with a few franchises (Halo, Ninja Gaiden, Jade Empire, Forza Motorsport) but that was enough to pre-order the 360. Nintendo has some innovation and some endearing franchises (Mario, Metroid, Zelda), so I'll probably pick up a Revolution, too. But the PS3 will have to wait until they create an amazing game or drop the price to next to nothing.

I wonder how many xbox360 will get return within the first week of launch. Who know how buggy xbox360 can be (dead HDD, non-working units, and other list of problems)
I see xbox360 to have some potential but if they can't make any new series of games and wait on huge sequel like Halo 3 or Jade Empire 2 (which is coming to PS3 anyway) it will hurt their chance to gain any profits or lead in the battle of next gen systems. You look at xbox right now, it successful because it has all those exclusive title that is fun and work well with there cash cow "Xbox Live"
But if xbox360 don't create any new game and wait for people to spend moneys on sport titles, FPS games and other titles. It will leave people wanting for more games that is actually innovating instead of pretty looking.

I really don't think the Xbox 360 will be really buggy, same goes for any of the next-gen consoles. I'm not gonna buy one though cuz I'm waitin' on the Revolution.

Not going to be buggy, umm look at what happened at xbox, and PS2 launch! There will never be a system launch where there is no bugs, everything work as it expected. I would think some of these xbox360 might be shipped with dead HDD or plain dead units.
Ok change the topic a bit, what about Nintendo Revolution? whats the big idea to keep quite for so long; why is Nintendo not releasing any new informations to hype up there launch? I mean look at xbox360, years before the launch its been hyping up with videos, specs. But for Revolution, nothing, nada! No videos, at least we get to see the system and the controller but nothing about the games or specs for it.

lmao. the video in that link is NOT the halo 3 trailer. im hoping you were joking when you put that up, cuz that thing is just full of halo 1 footage, and maybe some halo 2 footage. its so shoddily made that its obviously an independant movie. if you were joking, then i admit defeat at your craftiness, but if you weren't...O.O HOLY CRAP, WHAT WERE YOU THINKING, MAN! jk jk

im thinking that nintendo is trying to emulate what sony did with the ps2. sony did not release much information on ps2 until right before it launched, and it was a huge success. frankly i think that nintendo is scrambling, at this point. all these unorthodox innovations are gonna bring them down, just because they're trying to hard, without the good games to back them up. if i get a revolution, its going to be just so i can play the old-school games

I'm sorry but if you made the controller look like a remote for your TV, that basically saying your company is running out of ideas. I wonder what Revolution games will look like?

i know i've been posting a lot in succession lately. sorry. but, i disagree with what you say about no focus on the gaming aspect for xbox. games like ninja gaiden, splinter cell series (which is on the other systems, but looks and plays best on xbox, as well as having originated on the xbox) and the halo series have all been revolutionary, awesome, and fun to play. the main thing that i didn't like about the ps2 was the fact that the majority of its games were anime rpgs. i understand that most of the people on this forum are gonna smack me for insulting rpg's on an mmorpg's webforum, but the anime crazy never got me. i liked ffvi and ffvii, but the one's on ps2 i thought were terrible. the plots that square comes up with just get more and more cliche as they go along. now, as i mentioned before, the ps2 had an advantage in the fighting game genre just because of its controller, but the xbox360 controller is going to be almost identical to the ps2 controller this time around, without the confusing "shape" buttons (square, triangle, circle? wtf is up with that?).

lol. i totally agree. just the thought of full-fledged games involving a point and click remote control makes me wanna vomit. im thinking that the revolution seems more steered towards mini-games, like a whole system based around the eye-toy for the ps2. ewwww

Talk about games not being ready for the system, examples:
GTA on the Playstations have noticable slow downs, that game has too much clip plane for its own good. Probably a few more games here, but I dont have a PS2, I just remember seeing GTAs on his PS and laughing compared to my PC.
Knights of the Old Republic II for the Xbox. Ive never seen such graphic lag in a game in my life. Not to mention Elder Scrolls III had some pretty bad areas of lag as well. I do not bother with console games that much anymore so im sure there are others im unaware of.
Not to mention all the problems I have had with my xbox crashing and random times of freezing and this is when it was new. I have not tampered with my box by modding it in any way either. I remember in KOTOR I I couldnt get past a cutscene because I tried to do the break out mission with the invisible girl near the end. I just stopped playing that right there. (The cutscene tried to show her, but she was invis and it did not know what to do...)
As for sound and visuals. My PC runs bad ass on a 32 Inch LCD flat Screen TV and the surround sound in my room. You have to remember most HD LCDS and Plasmas are capable of hooking up to PCs now a days
