give this man a medal
if you can't buy it yourself, i bet you're still in the 'getting-easily-dangerously-addicted' stage of your life and you shouldn't be playing this shit, but play with your friends outside.

You should go outside in a big fluorescent yellow chicken costume and hop around on one leg, untill the neighbours call the police for scaring all the children! That always works no matter what you want to achieve! 3 empty buckets are highly recommended.

some people need money to buy , you know.. primary stuff
like food and clothes, and to pay the rent.
not everyone has big budgets.

If someone's struggling for food, clothes and rent they shouldn't really be looking at video games ... they should be building up some sort of personal savings.
GW is fun but it's still a luxury.

When I was a teenager I bought my video games on my own.
If I could do it, you can do it.

As a father of 3 i will give you this advice, Ask you father for jobs.....my kids do & i send em out the back to pick up the dog shit, rake the lawn, empty the bins, basically anything i dont want to do (one of the perks of parenthood)
but at the end of the month ill fork out 40 bucks...for ever job i set that they fail or forget they lose 10 bucks......it gives them inspiration
either that...or get a paper round & save for like a whole year & still not have enough money to buy the new chapter lol

And you refuse to buy it yourself because......
I have never worked a day in my life and I still manage to save up some cash to buy a game whenever i need it... so don't use money as an excuse...
My best guess would be tell them if they buy it for you they will never have to hire a baby sitter again.... video games will take care of you now. I was brought up that way and I seem perfectly fine........ god I hate myself

I can't believe this thread is still going. How hard is it to make a measly $50.00 today. That is like $20.00 when I was a kid.
Allot of you young people (not all) think you are so much more on the ball then us older folks. Well then, use those so-called smarts and turn it into Dollars. Mow a lawn...shovel snow....bag groceries. Get inventive and make a few bucks.
Also another tip...when you do some Extra chores on your own for your folks....don't expect to get any money out of it. Tell them you did it because you are part of the family and want to contribute to it. You would be amazed on how many "points" you build up with your parents. This will shock them. If you are sincere and truly help them out from time to time...Parents are more likely to be very giving in your time of need.

Ever heard of the entitlement generation?
Because that's what we/they are. I'm a part of it for sure, my parents can't afford a cheap computer, yet I have TWO decent rigs.
My wife is even more of an example, as she's a trust fund baby. Take her bottle away and she is NOT fun to be around. (meaning whenever I talk her out of buying something she really doesn't need)

I haven't heard the term but I'll be using it a lot in the future ... I probably fit in somewhere in the early part of that spectrum so I always tried to fight that personal tendency.
At its worst, this generation produces kids like the Menendez Brothers ...
