Well, I recently found myself unemployed due to a fight with the owner, but for the past 3 years I've been a assistant head cook at a 3 star restaurant.
And let me tell ya, DAMN AM I GLAD TO BE OUT OF KITCHEN WORK!

it was totally out of the blue, i didnt even apply. one of my instructors reccomended me to them and they called me up asking for an interview. they were looking for a grad, which i am not, so i wasnt expecting to get a job. i was hopeing for like volunteer work or an internship or something. but a job is nice too.
