Thanks for the response SOT. For question #3 I was actually referring to the named servers (looks like there are ~75 or so on the WoW site). I want to find a server with a fairly even number of Horde and Alliance - do you know if there is a way to check?
I have a PC Gamer 14-day trial that I'll use first, but I'll probably just end up buying the game also lol.

To be honest, I spend all of my time on Elune server. My guild is really growing closer together, and we are expanding well. I have several characters on other servers, 3 are maxed out, but I pretty much stick to elune.

Elune needs HORDE!

Aparently you don't know what happened to Dave Schapel...you might want to go easy on the judgements based solely on personal reaction to WoW.

Well, my character managed to kill a humongous Sewer beast that ravaged the canals for a bit in WoW and took all of Vashj SW by surprise, because A) it's extremely rare (Possibly Ultimate), B) it's a level 60 BOSS and C) I managed to live. Throughout the battle!

I am also starting to go and do Gnomeregan later on, so if anyone on the Euro server wants to say Hi and help (No noobs plx or I will pwn j00 wit my liek nerf bat lol) or just do something else I'll be on.

Oh and WN and Warrior Nation say Happy Christmas!

I hope that I can take a screenie of myself sometime while I'm on it tomorrow and I'll post it here!

Yesterday morning, Blizzard decided to be cute, I suppose. I was running around on my level 28 troll mage alt on Elune, and this spawned right in the MIDDLE of orgrimmar. Those funny Blizzard guys...LOL!

I got eaten. LMAO...

What did happen?

When I used to play FFXI they took up my social life, I gained roughly 20 pounds, and my school semester was lacking. I did play with two other real life friends and we literally hadnt seen eachother in 2 or 3 months at a time sometimes (not including classes). When we did see eachother we were shocked, and my friend who had never played a PC game, much less an MMO, called it the Final Fantasy effect. We only played that game for less than a year, although we still have great funny chats about our adventures every now and then.

Since I stopped I lost the thirty pounds of fat, love the gym, have better energy, and my school is back up to par. Hell now im at my prime when compared to my better years, and since I weight a hell of a lot less the definition is showing through. Granted this was two years back when I was playing FFXI. Since then I have gained alot of self control when it comes to Video Juegos.

Now I can't really blame the game, although we jokingly call it the FFXI effect. Its just sometimes it was really hard to want to get off of it, and I lacked self control. Now I hardly do play video games. If I do its a quick fighting game, or a DS title. This Forum is my new work addiction

On another note, my other friend who played FFXI with us started up WoW with another friend when it first came out. After a while he quit because he said it was boring etc. Recently we had been talking about doing another MMO together (the original FFXI crew) and WoW was brought up alot, although my friend who quit it dissed it alot. Low and behold I called him last night:

"Hey mang whats up"
"Nothing"
"Nothing as in Nothing nothing or..."
"Im playing WoW"

As soon as he said nothing I knew he was doing something. Everytime that man says nothing it means either watching TV or playing WoW. It was only a matter of time before he started up again. Of course he chose to play WoW all night instead of hanging out with us... his loss

Done lots of Gnomeregan (Gnr) quests, but when I get back, lo and behold, I get MORE requests to do more quests there!

well if it's for items +xp...

got a lvl 41 dwarf warrior on illidan server. dual wield fury spec FTW, its the most fun build to play with for a warrior but if u pvp alot forget it. u will get mauled most of the time but not by much, u will just lose alot. if u decide to join illidan plz play on alliance as there are heaps more horde than allliance on the server.

Well i ahve finally succumbed to the dark side and got myself a copy of WoW, same as two fo my mates from guild wars. partially cos of stuff i read here, and also, i like pve! and there is nothing left for my pvewise in GW.

Still not sure what to make though, installing the game as we speak. gonan ahve to be alliance though as one of us has their hearts set on playing a dwarf. i personally can't stand the lil stumpy gits. night elf looks good but they're on a different bloody continent to the dwarves!

I switched servers to Elune so I had to start all over so now I got a lvl 12 human warrior but im not sure where to put the talents.

googling and yahooing his name didn't result in much just a bunch of misspellings of Dave Chappell.

I run forums for wow, but they are for my guild, so unless you are in my guild, the only thing you'd get out of them is the resources area. LOL.

Woot! I managed to get the ability to craft the first pair of bronze items today!

Also my character is VERY close to level 32, which means no more Blackfathom Depths for me :'( but what the heck, Weapon masteries almost maxed with my defense (+5) and I'm kicking butt for silver to spend!

And as I'll not be on for sometime, have a great new year!
