i reckon it depends on the server. there are so many servers, so i doubt that all servers are different. the server i almost always play on (illidan) has some idiots, if they spam something like " plz giv me gold, im poor" the whole area starts telling him off and in the end that guy gets a bad name for the rest of his wow life for that character. btw if u plan on coming to illidan server plzzzzzzzzzzzzz be an alliance player as there are 2 horde to every 1 alliance character at the moment

. pluz the server is damn full too

People have gotta stop saying that WoW is a grind. It depends on you, your definition of grind, and your tolerance of what is described as grinding anyway.

For starters, I hated "Grinding" in GW's. Doing mission runs farming for items to sell just so I could afford my armor. Not like there was even much to BUY in the first place. What, you get like three choices or something? Bah, can't remember. Wasn't really worth it in the end.

I agree I have to "Grind" sometimes in WoW.
At the moment I play my level 49 Orc Hunter purely for PvP in Warsong Gulch. She's the highest level for the group and I want her to have as good a'gear as possible. Of course, this is quite hard concidering I don't actually want to LEVEL past 49.. or I become the bottom of the next pvp group.. so I have to farm level 34ish elites to make my money so I don't gain xp.

The other day I spent 4 hours soloing SM (Scarlet Monestary) and made 35g. This went on the axe I'd been DYING to get.. Axe of Rin'ji. Blue item level req 48 with a 1.90 speed and Agi and Sta bonus's. Can't get much better for a level 49 hunter. I'm just in the procedes of farming for my second one (I duel weild) and also money for the ingredients to enchant them with +15 Agi. (Anyone who plays WoW knows how expensive that enchant is.)

Anyway my point is this. I can put up with the so called "Grind" in WoW cos of the way it comes about. The game is pleasing enough, I enjoy my character and class enough, I've made enough friends through pvp and just plain socialising to chat to whilst I do it... so please, don't go listening to people and taking it as red that a game is the way they say it is.. some people are gonna like it and some people aren't. Everyone here seems to love GW's but I personally can't stand the feckin game no more lol.

Does anyone else get the feeling some people are waging a hate war against a game they've never played? You're going to let other people's opinions make your minds up for you? I think there are more positive opinions on the game than negative ones anyway. And if you can't afford it well... it's like everything else.

Some people can order premium lemonade.. others have to make do with water no ice

WoW is a game in a completely different league to GW's.

It may be an item grind but it's a fun item grind. I just downloaded it after having it for like 2 weeks and the funniest thing happen. A gnome and a taurne got into a duel and when the tauren guy lost he had to kneel so the gnome could slap him. It was the funniest thing I've ever seen in any game ever.

no hate just different tastes i guess.

I tried it out, its really cool. My friends play it so I went over to one of theirs and I went on a raid, which is AWESOME. Theres no limit on players you can bring to the battlefield, plus sneaking up on someone (I wasnt a rouge, just really sneaky) and beating the crap outta them is priceless.

Espacially storming cities, THATS fun. The quests have good rewards too. Its not a grindfest, I played for a night and got to lvl 10, although 60 will require dedication to the game.

You can play for free for 10 days, just no trading or talking in general chat.

i wanted to buy wow but it has an online fee whihc really sucks...
also i was gona play a demo for it but it was 100 something mb download just for start and my internet goes 2kb/sec... ya u know what happended next..

I thought the same before I played it. I actually hated WoW just because I couldn't play it.. made myself believe it was crap. Looked at it and thought god the graphics are so childish. But.. they're really not as it turns out.

And did I get my money's worth of GW's? How much did it cost again?

£10/€$16 per ACCOUNT/Month (10 characters on multiple servers) or £20/€$30 per CHARACTER/Month (SWG... EQ... EQ2... Asheron's Call 2...)?

My 2 cents about Wow... the free trial should be free, as in, I don't need to put in a credit card to use it. There's no trading, so it's pretty much impossible to exploit it, right?

Seriously... I used to think the monthly fee was a HUGE deal, but when you factor it out over time, it's really not that bad, and certainly a better value than most other forms of "entertainment" these days.
