I think Itachi has a little more going for him than Mangekyou Sharingan. Sure, Gaara can avoid that single techinque but I think he is still totally outmatched.

I dont know about that. Last time I saw Itachi fighting Kakashi, Kakashi looked pretty stunned at Itachis speed. Id say gaara is pretty much outmatched here.

Well im not sure we have seen Gaara's true power yet, but if he fights how we have seen him he would be done for... i mean seriously he almost lost to Sasuke then lost to Naruto.... however he has become stronger since then i guess.. but not Itachi strong

No doubt I am anticipating the rest of this manga/anime. The story is awesome, and the characters are all ones you root for. I mean if you dont get misty eyed when Chouji is remembering Shikamaru and popping that red pill something is wrong with you. "THIS PUNCH IS HEAVIER THAN LIFE" *BAM*.

Like I said I cant wait to see this series progress and find out what happens to all of them. I know Gaara still hasnt even tapped into his powers, just as Naruto and the Kyuubi.

Naruto is being sidelined too much in the manga right now. The two new members of their team are interesting though especially Sai. What I really want to see is Sasuke and Orichimaru, who knows what Sasuke has become over the course of the last 2.5 years ?

I am sick of all these fillers myself..They're so pointless and annoying..Going to bird country and destroying a frigging ghost whoopdeedoooo.I wanna see Jir finding more information about Akatsuki like it said he was going to like 15 episodes back,then they started showing all these fillers = =..
But no doubt Itachi would win against Gaara.

Everybody hates fillers, they have been going on for over 30 episodes. Two whole seasons of these episodes is about 50 episodes. I just cant wait to see a new intro. When that happens I am always a happy camper.

well there'sa big guy with gara's skill, figthing kakashi in episode 165-->
i think itachi would own gara, since he's even stronger then orochimaru, itachis would also be too fast for the sand, like lee and sasuske managed
