I need a New Job
Ok, the company i work for is ballzed ..... The administrators have been in all week... and i'm starting to think there gonna close it down (No Buyers) .... so i need to find a new job.
I feel like a new direction in my life.
Something vastly different from accounts.
But, i cant seem to think of anything
Has anybody got any suggestions... i'll consider everything at this stressfull time... i really really need idea's.
Maybe amongst the hilarious suggestions im half expecting will be a tiny gem of brilliance ... to which i shall say YES!!!!
And maybe i'll just get a laugh... either way really guys & gals

Try a Temp Service. Sometimes you will find a decent job there and the company would rather hire you out right after they "see" some promise. Can't hurt.

I work for a temp agency and I'm a full time student making $15 an hour as a net tech. You might just try it, or at least go into contract work. Most companies will be more than willing to hire you direct after you show them what you can do.
Or you can just go into breeding rabbits, but whatever.

Seriously though, id love to work with computers... im ok with flash, fireworks & dreamweaver.... not bad at problem solving .... and currently ""trying"" to learn C++ (but might give up as its dull).
Problem is i have no qualifications in computing.... all i have is a poxy economics degree ..... And im sick of working my nuts off for nothing ... i need a job thats going to reward the fact that i work like a druacell bunny in the mating season.

You could read pages and pages of C++ but It can be boring as hell. It's not very hard at all to learn and some places pay 30$+ an hour. I did for a while to save some money up for college but I switched over to a record store where I get 9.50 an hour.

If you study hard enough and are able to become fairly fluent in C++, Anet/NCSoft are looking for adept programmers. Wouldn't it be cool to help build the games you love playing?

I dont have any certs either (although I am working on one). Just go looking, check the want ads. It doesnt have to be an IT "firm" just a company that needs a good IT professional or graphics designer. You could also do freelance web/graphics design like I do to make some money on the side, although it is a hard industry to get into.
