OverClocked ReMix
http://www.ocremix.org/
It's been a while since I've heard any of the remixes made for their site, but I started listening about 2 days ago, and it's awesome. There're a lot of great remixes there of classic video game music, ranging from better instrumentation, to completely rewriting them in another style (techno/electronica seems popular for that).
In any case, I strongly suggest you check it out if you enjoy any of the classical video game music, as it's free to download (though they suggest using torrents to save their bandwith, rather than using the direct downloads), and it's a good time sink.
It's actually been mentioned a handful of times on the forums, but mostly buried beneath unrelated content, and considering just how much there is to listen to, and how much fun I had skimming through their list of songs, I thought I'd give it its own thread.
On a side note, it's inspired me to try my hand at sequencing music, though I'm still on Phase 0.1 : Getting the software x_x

Getting the software.
I suggest Fruityloops, just because its an incredibly powerful program.
Yeah... I downloaded everything off of that site a few months ago, and I never regretted it.
There are about 200 amazing songs on that site, and the rest are just fun to listen to. Of course, there are a few that I just can't stand to have on my playlist for more than one listen.
I also strongly suggest this site to everyone that cares to listen. Its amazing.

Some of my favorites:
Diablo TheSinWar
Earthbound Dreaming on Distant Shores
Sonic the Hedgehog 3 The Outer Space Machine
Rellik is definitely the best on the site, even though he has just those 2 songs (at least those are the only two I could find).

I personally like Wintermute's Lullaby Proximitus (OoT) and the Final Summoning (FFX), by [Jared Hudson]. I love those two ^_^

I enjoy most of the songs by FFmusic DJ. Final Fantasy VII StringMachine and Mega Man X4 Zero Sky are a couple of my favorites.
