Yes, we would be upset. But then we'd start another one and start filling it up as fast as we can, probably. Why? Is there a reason this thread is going to be locked? What does 10,000 posts have to do with anything? Personally, I'm waiting for the 750th page...

Maybe he'll edit the amount of posts per page so as to make 750 pages and 9,999 posts happen simultaneously. Then he could be nefarious while still holding to his word.
