Wow! She is in the guild? I did not know that. I have actually been busy with real life things that Dads get stuck doing.
Hopefully I will be around a bit this weekend....I know you guys/gals need my Monk abilities more then my Warrior ones.
EDIT: I am well pleased to see Avari in our guild. She always seems so happy go lucky...

This is true. However, we try to be adult about the game.
Not a Flame...Just A Fact!
EDIT: Naprius...if you are serious about joining...then PM Arturo02. He is an officer...unless they made PIE one by now. I just got a guy I have know for ten years in the Guild. He is one of the truck drivers that delivers stock to our business. He would be what people would call a total n00b. But a super guy and is learning fast. We had to pretty much show him everything from trading between players and adding runes to armor.
This is why I like our guild....as PIE put it No Worries. We really help each other.

Well I would not say that. Many play into the wee wee hours EST time here on the weekends. Too late for this Old Dood. I know that Arturo02 will be on until 3am EST time. Dunno..what that is to you though.
Anyways you GOT to get on teamspeak with PIE. I swear he could make a living as a Blues Singer.
EDIT: I think everyone here should PM Arturo02. Lets all fill up his PM box. hehehe

Hey,
My past few months have been up and down.. mostly down, but I'm doing a lot better. I've also been incredibly busy. I'm still playing the game pretty regularly, so you can say hi there.

Hey Dood,
I haven't played it a lot yet, but so far, I haven't had problems. My husband had to download a patch to fix something on his setup, but he's good now.
I am sooo looking forward to playing my first real game with my usual Civ group. I'm really liking the cultural victory stuff. The first real game I played, I almost won on cultural, but my friends got tired of waiting on me, so they built the UN and voted me to victory to end the game.
I still need to read up on the religions and civics to get a better understanding of them.

Good for you! Go to civfanatics.com and read the tech support forum. I am there as Old Dood. There are many people that can not play yet. I can play single player just fine with my Dim 5100. I believe my 2Gb of ram is saving me from the memory leak. However, in multi-player my system will freeze/crash and I have to hard boot out of the game. Grrrrr! I thought the muli-player was the FIRST thing they worked on in this game.....

Dood, that sounds like the problem my husband was having. After the patch (sorry, I don't know which one it was ) he has not had problems. We did discover that McAfee Virus Scan was messing with a port or something in internet play and after we reset that option, we can use Game Spy with no problems. I'll PM you my email and try to get that patch and McAfee info for you. Maybe that will help. My husband has been reading civfanatics... he is most likely brandon_it (or something similar) there.
Naprius, yes, it is a lot of fun, but as Dood said, some people are having problems with connection bugs.
Omega, huh? What experiences?

Well my friend who is a Netwrok Security guru set up VPN client on our machines...we turned off Norton...and Still I was having problems. He even hooked up a remore control to my system (weird too see him moving MY mouse around).
I am going to wait for the official patch...no more changing my system.

as i stare at the moon
the horrors loom
i've lost all my faith
because what one man taketh
people seem to be falling
many are just crawling
to find out why
as they stare at the sky
to discover the means
which some people deem
is worthy to do hate
i tell them to belate
half the world knows
the other side's foes
would cause them blight
just to see the light
they will never see
through the eyes of me
