That's what I was just about to say, without something to MAKE you stay awake (as in something OTHER than caffeine, other relatively powerful drugs) you're going to collapse by that point. There's no way in HELL you were awake 96 hours. The longest I've ever managed to stay awake without any sleep, was NEAR 72 hours, at least that's what it was when I last looked at the clock, at which time I was literally falling over as I walked around. I woke up at the bottom of the stairs a day later with a large bruise on my knee and no idea what the hell I was doing there. Then it took like 3 hours of rest laying there to get my head on straight. (No, I wasn't drunk at any point during this.)

Haha, the reason I was awake for so long was because I was working on a large, massively twisted in nature image projection, and when you're into something and want to get it done and one right, you don't want to break your train of thought. Most anything I do is done in one sitting or in the same enviornment with the same mood every single day, otherwise I lose focus and feeling for the style I was working on at the time. So I just stayed awake and was working like hell...definately not one of my better days, in fact it was probably the low-point health wise of my life.

Settle down there, sparky. A picture is a picture. Just try to follow the guidelines - cloths are MANDATORY. Well, that's really the only guideline..

WtF is with this "How long I can stay awake for" competition? Do you people know you look like HELL unless you get a good 7 hours min a night? Not to mention you're all grumpy sods when you don't sleep as well
I try to get as much sleep as possible to I am alert, cheerful and ready for the day. Of course with my conditions I get FATIGUE. Different from being tired, very different.
Longest I've stayed up though is when I got glandular fever and my body clock got fcuked. Basically I was going to bed at 10 am and waking at 6pm.. really stupid. To combat it I just stayed awake as long as possible.
So.. I woke at 6pm.. and stayed awake untill the following 10pm. So just over 24 hours and I LITERALLY couldn't keep my eyes open. That's saying something cos I'm not a person who needs sleep. I think it hits me suddenly at once. I can go 16 hours comfortably without being tired, then I'm falling over.
I think it's also cos I'm not a bed person. I go to bed when I need to sleep and as soon as I'm awake I'm jumping out of it. I don't use my bed for anything.. ANYTHING!!!
..who needs a bed when you've got "surfaces"
