That means at least 40 people in this forum claim to be girls or guys online...
I feel tricked.
Let's hunt them down

Leave 'em be - they're screwed up enough as it is. I remember a joke about a guy telling his friend how to get plane tickets.. It went something like this:
Man 1: "So how did you get the tickets for free?"
Man 2: "That's easy: I had a man fly me out."
Man 1: "A man flew you out? How?"
Man 2: "Well, he thinks I'm an 18 year old named Krissy. Daddy's so mean."

The absolute best Clancy book in my opinion is Red Storm Rising. There is no Jack Ryan in this one. It s a great fictional account of what IF the Soviets attacked the USA in the 1980's. Gripping read....
EDIT: I just noticed that this book has been suggested already. Still it is my favorite Clancy book....

Isn't it a Soviet attack on NATO, mostly in Europe and in the Atlantic? I could swear that book doesn't have them attacking the U.S. directly. Although, it does involve the U.S.

It was an attack on Greenland or Iceland (some Northern Atlantic place) with an American base. It's been a long time since I've read that one, so I can't remembe exactly. There were some American soldiers who were fighting their way cross-country to get back to the base to so they could find a way to let the rest of the world know what was really going on... at least I think that's right. Geez, I need to re-read that one.

I remember that as part of it, but I also remember that the book included something about the Soviets pushing into West Germany so they could protect themselves to go into the Gulf for oil.

True. US soil wasn't attacked. However, the US were the Teeth of Nato. There were other countries involved in the fight too. In the beginning of the book they (Soviets) take out a US Naval Flotilla in the Northern Alantic. The USS Enterprise is badly damaged.
Hmmm...Seems I am rusty though on my memory of the book. It has been 15 years sice I have read it. I think I will save that pleasure for this summer when my family and I go up north for the week of the 4th and sit in the sand and read it once again.
EDIT: Swampy they were running across Iceland I believe. Didn't the main character (Can't remember his name) have access to a Satellite Radio too? That was really cutting edge back then. Cell phones were just starting to take off and were still very expensive.
I could talk about this book all day. The Submarines battles were jaw dropping. It really gave you a sense of that kind of warfare. This was before The Hunt for the Red October too. I used to have a video game for my Commodore 64 called Red Storm Rising. It was mainly the sub battles. I played that game for weeks on end. Figuring out the Sub signatures and having a blast fighting the Soviet's fast attack subs.

Yes books are great. They are the true 3D. Your brain is way better then any GPU at any speed.
Many times I stop completely from using my computer and get into a Reading mode...
However, I did recently add eReader to my Axim PDA. Now that is cool to have as many books that I want at my fingertips and can read them with my PDA. And books are cheap this way. It will also remember what page I was on. I can adjust the fonts.....Doesn't take that much battery power either....it is plain cool.

Actually, Our brain can make about 1000 calculations/second, way better than any other computer in the world.
But the true gold is that we only use about 10% of our brain power...
If we unlock the secrets of the brain, we could end idiotness forever!
I like books and picture books. I like adventure action, mystery and fantasy books. Picture books aren't as kiddy as some think they are. Sometimes they help strengthen your mind and think outside the box. I say that cause I have about 50 .
Books are also the key to SATs. They're advantages are never ending.
Go read a book guys!

I do sometimes find myself dozing off when I read though. At least when I've done alot that day. Guess it's because I like to get really comfy when I read. Whatever, sleeping is up there, along with reading, in the things I like to do list.

That only works if you've met the judge before.

Oh I'll make it next time, and then I'll turn down the band invitation because I'm better than all of them.
Yeah... Enough about the judges failed attempt to screw me over (I swear one of them had it in for me).
Anyone else incredibly happy that EP lost?

I was going to say it is a good way to fall asleep when you are not sleepy is to start reading something.
What will annoy me is when I am so tired I will catch myself reading a couple of pages and realize that I didn't comprehend any of it. My body is so tired but my mind doesn't want to sleep yet. This happens allot to me when I get all comfortable in bed and I don't make it through one lousy chapter.

They stole their win against pRp. I respect the people in pRp. Actually just Lara Valor... EP just cruises to the tops of the ladder and plays other teams' builds poorly.
And before anyone says it I'm not going to admit that they are better than me, because I haven't played them yet. From all of the times I've observed them, I'm confident that I could beat them.
