I used to paly this game in middle school, 6 years ago. It was a great game, don't remeber the decks though, so whatever decks were around 6 years ago is what i played.

After losing my decks, which involved a Chaos Storm and several alpha/beta cards, I called it quits.

I used to play this game. Making decks is like making builds on GW, make combos that work, and mostly everything should have some kind of counter.
I stopped though. Most people say the game is for like, "guys that are never gunna have sex n' stuff".
That's from Pure Pwnage about Warcraft but eh same magic/bows/dragons =p
GW just pwns though.

oh man i love MTG. I stopped playing tho, cuz i had no more freinds that played, so i just collected them for a while. I would collect revised cards that I thought were cool, i got like 20 kird apes, bunch of strip mines, smoke, random other cards from revised. Also got the entire weatherlight set.
But my favorite deck was a white weenies with orims prayer/gerards battle cry/humility combo. Creature lockdown and domination.

Started playing in fifth grade, stopped at the end of eighth. I used a R/W deck or something, I don't quite recall. Fondest memories that I have came from playing with friends after we bought a bunch of the (not-legal) "Unglued" cards - B.F.M., Ashnod’s Coupon and "Mine, Mine, Mine!" were just plain funny.

Well, I've never been much into competative tournament play of Magic, usually because it's rather expensive to keep up with the metagames. That said, I usually play casual Type 1 in larger multiplayer games, and my decks usually feature no revolving combos or else they're built around very unusual or unlikely occurances.
My current constructed decks (and I haven't bought any Magic in a while), are some weird Green/Blue Upheaval/Sunder deck that uses a lot of extra land drop cards (multiple copies of Azusa, Gardners, and Exploration). Tribal Slivers, all 5 colors (gotta run Queens, Sliver decks just don't feel right without a bunch of those). Another weird rainbow deck in which every non-land card is a rare, just a bunch of stuff thrown together, it loses often, but every game with it is very different (I played a game just yesterday with it, and won on the shoulders of Lord of Tresserhorn and Energy Field, who knows how I pulled it off). Some Green deck full of Spikes and Forgotten Ancients. A Red deck named after a guy at a Gaming Center (so the deck is named Bear, which was his name), the Red deck has no central theme, and is just a bunch of stuff.
Paragraph break for reading purposes. A Black deck, central theme being a countdown type thing (filled with Urborg Stalkers, Diseased Vermin, and Festering Wounds, although I never got the Subversions for it I wanted). Finally, a White deck that is mostly a stall deck, very few creatures usually capable of hitting for any real damage (basically Archangels and some other stuff with Serra's Embrace), the deck was mostly constructed because I felt the need to put some Wraths in a deck I found in a friend's collection (combined collections own ;o ).
I started playing when I was really little (around Chronicles, fortunately most shops still had Revised and Unlimited in stock at old and low prices (~70 cents)), and fortunately, at the time, parents would usually pay for expensive habits. Now though they wont, and I don't buy nearly as much as I used to.
To bad there was no free program that allowed for online multiplayer games of Magic... or is there, I can only think of ones that do 1v1, and those just aren't as fun anymore since a lot of people tend to build their around decks into trying to win in 3 turns or less (longer games are usually more interesting imo).

My MTG cards are just helplessly laying around and I gave most of mine to my friends who don't even play either. I think we all got over it, and when I saw a show where this dorky kid couldn't get a GF and it showed him playing Dance Dance Revolution and MTG, it scared me, the MTG part, I never played DDR. lol

I have a White Cleric lifegain/kickyourass deck and a Black sac/kickyourass deck.
I haven't played in almost a year, though.

I play, sort of. I used to be really into it, but over the past, uh... year, I've kinda gotten out of it. Less people to play with, too expensive, other things to do, etc.
Anyone here registered on the WotC boards?
