Japanese Marble Machine Things..
http://video.google.com/videoplay?do...392267&pl=true
Well I was about to watch my favorite anime (well the only anime I watch) called Bleach...After the intro I found out that it was a fake episode! But what the subbers (dattebayo) put in was intresting. If you remember back in your youth, there were comics about elaborate machines that preformed certain aspects. The setups in this google clip shows a magnetic ball being flung, rolled, among other things ...well just watch it...*hard to explain*. I'm glad someone finally put this video up on google. Enjoy.
Oh...and disreguard the little dance thing 3/4 into the clip...its a bit IQ lowering.

Kinda reminds me of a honda ad I saw long ago. Apparantly it took them 606 tries to get it right, and I honestly don't doubt it did, lol.
http://video.google.com/videoplay?do...=honda&pl=true (bad quality at google video though)

Oh..... my..... goodness. That was amazing. I saw that Honda ad but that doesn't hold a candle to the marble video.

Rube Goldberg Machines.
The people who did the Honda advertisement ("Cog") cheated, it's not one single fluid motion from start to finish (edited to join two separate parts together due to lack of filming space).

See what the untrained ear gets you?
I can just imagine going to Japan, looking up a phrase, replying to it, only to find out I just answered to a totally differing thing than what I expected <_<
But I digress, sorry I'm useless in this matter
As a note about the movie, I was impressed by the sheer amount and variety of the machines, rather than any individual one, though it's plain to see the calculations, and possibly large amount of tries it took to get it down pat.
Particularly in the machines like the one where the ball falls into a tube with 2 open sides, and it weaves across books, back and forth, all while continuing to move forward, eventually falling down, and through the top end, after it slides just right.
Edit: Doh, typo.

Ahh. Developed by "Masahiko Sato Laboratory", apparently.
In the US, we generally credit Rube Goldberg with those kinds of insane machines. Would never have thought of Pythagora in relation to it. But, that was all that was needed to get info about it.
Thank you.

I like the little jingle pitagora souchi.
Those machines are great and I loved the Honda ad.
