the zip code is so it can mark where in the USA u are on the map.

Zip code basically = city, state. Just a more efficient way of filling it out.

Don't fill it out if you don't want a teensy bit of personal info out, but if you don't care, its a perfectly respectable site, so don't be afraid of it.
