The Law Firm of Axesplitter, Handsmasher, Ashenglow, and Grunt is looking for any and all persons who may have purchased Guild Wars armor between the dates of April 5 2005 and July13 2006 from the below listed defendants. You may be a class action plaintiff and entitled to compensation for funds paid, general damages, possible serious future wounds and injuries, a false sense of defensive security, and disturbance of emotional tranquility.

Defendants: Harlan, Breyshaw, Samuka, Kailan, Shada, Saphir, Hanita, Alemeth, Kathir, Banoit, Corwen, Hagen, Karl, and Fissure of Woe Forgemaster. Many of these defendants are currently “on the lamb” and are being sought out by the Dwarven Constable Force.

The Case: Person or persons who purchased armor from the above defendants may have purchased something substantially different that what was advertised. It has come to light that the above defendants advertised, marketed, and promoted various items of armor to Warrriors, Elementalists, Mesmers, Monks, Rangers, and Necromancers that after being purchased and paid for in good faith, magically became something completely different on the date of July 13, 2006. These Merchants and Crafters are refusing to refund gold and platinum paid in good faith for items which are not what was originally sold and marketed, and in so doing broke many rules and regulations concerning fair trade.

Our law firm is requesting the sum of Sixty Five Trillion Platinum in damages to be split among all plaintiffs and to cover all legal fees related to this inexcusable travesty of justice.

Trial will begin on July 31, 2006

As a bit of a gaming company leagal fact I shall state the policy on who owns a game.

A game belongs to the company who creates it. They are free to make any changes they see fit. They are alowed to completely change game mechanics whenever they want, it is after all their game.

Just because you purchased a package that enables you to play the game, does not mean you "own" it.

That being said, you can't just say "I bought the game, now they have to do as I say." You would in fact be false.
It is their chioce to make apropriate changes, because they know if they don't, consumers are less likely to buy more of their products, resulting in lowered profit. So it is in the companies best interest to make reasonable changes sugested by the consumers.

Oh and no, I am not a lawyer, I just know a good many gaming laws
