GW professiones and you
Since i started playing in the betas back when it started, i found that most of the Necros i have ran into, in real life have a medical/healthcare profession ( including myself).I found that very intresting. Considering that the first time i tried the betatests out, of all the caracters i like the necro the most and that was my first toon. Has anyone found any other things like this, or even thought about it. What atracted you to your first character made and why?????

Necromancy and healthcare professions don't have a direct link towards each other. And if you find that most of the necromancers that you have run into have medical/health care professions, then you need to run into more necromancers.
I made a Warrior because it can smash things.
I made a Ranger because it could shoot things.
I made a Monk because it could heal thins.
I made a Ritualist because it could create things.
I made a Necromancer because it could curse things.
I made a Mesmer because it could disrupt things.
I made an Elementalist because it could shoot bolts of fire.
I'm a student. It doesn't connect to anything aside from the fact that I like to try things out =/

I made a Warrior/Monk because it actually reflects part of my personality. No, I'm not a stupid 12 year old noob in RL. I am 12 years old, but no way am I near being a noob, as per comparison to other 12 year olds online. Warrior reflects my love for swords and killing things the close up way, Monk reflects my wants for peace and also reflects my realization that everyone needs a heal.
I think I just made myself look like a noob again.

My first couple characters were made the classes they were because of them being used in past games under the same main class... My ranger because he was a Sniper in RO and my ele because she was a High Wizard in RO.
My other characters I made up stuff with them when I made them.

I made my Warrior because I like to get into the nitty-gritty of the battles
I made my Monk because I want to make millions doing missions for hire - NOT
I made my ranger because archery's kinda cool & having a pet to play with rocks.
I made my Mesmer to try something new.
I don't think it has anything to do with RL profession, it has more to do with personality. I know a nurse who's first character is an Ele and second character is a Warrior. I don't think she's even tried the Necro thing yet. But, none of the guys in my guild who play necros have anything to do with the health care profession.

I reckon it's you first character that most relfect youtr personality, because that's the class that appealed to you most at first.
My first character was a ranger, I like to think it reflects my personality in that i have a big thing for the environment & nature, and most people agree that I'm very agile.
sounds silly I know

the first character i made was an elementalist, because im a castery-type person. i didnt like playing it though.
i love bows too, and im an archer irl- so the second thing i made was ranger, which i completed prophecies with but i find boring to play nowadays.
third thing, and still the proffession i like most- monk. being nice to people is fun, and since im kind of a loner irl all the people ingame wanting me made me feel good.
proffessions i play most atm are ritualist and assassin. ritualist- i just LOVE the looks. them being blind, still able to hit stuff and how they move, its just awesome.
well, assassin... i just like playing it.
the proffession i HATE most of all is necromancer. it just doesnt appeal to me, and when i see one i just think yuck another necromancer.
IRL, im a 15-year old incredibly weak school boy that doesnt talk much and has little friends. i dont think theres any connection with what i like to play ingame.

Interesting..... but since i have started this i have been asking playes in PVE, were u from, whats your job.... stuff like that. Dispite what most people said i have run in with more necros and even darvish that have necros that are in the health profession.???? then again like i mencioned in the first post, i was refering to people that had a established profession. I didn't mean to exclude individuales still in middle or highschool. But the question was more directed.
Thx for the answers.

I made an archer because that was what I played in ro, and I liked the idea of a pet.

weird, I would think people in the medical profession would be more inclined to choose monk.
Being a zoology student myself however, I can relate to how it ties with necromancer... Just last week I had to scrape meat off boiled bones. freakin gross, but fun.

I remember thous days in anatomy 101 and 102, What works wonders is Caustic salt (Sodium hydroxide) it cleans out every thing even the periostium ( you must apply some kind of protective varnish or your bone sample will become brittle.)
