My school is so much more different o.o
For all my high school years that I've been in so far, the population consists of mostly "hongers", jocks, wiggers and nerds.
Hongers here outnumber everything by a mile because we asians seem to repopulate like crazy ><
Then there are the wiggers with their big clothing and their fake chains.
Jocks are..well..jocks.. How many there are, is how many there ever will be.
Nerds, not many of them ><
So there are only about 10 emo/punk rock kids out in our school in total. Quite a bit of clothing sensitive males here too =/

Sheesh, how big is your school? Mine was EXTREMELY small. About 250 kids I believe. Out of that 250, there was about 15-20 minorities (including myself). Mostly Native Americans, a couple asians, and a few African American students.

Well, it's rather obvious (maybe not to some people in this thread) that "Hope is Emo" is fake and Hope is just an "actress" that acts "emo".
Done.
I'd say, she does a pretty good job at making fun of the real emos out there.

Emo (from emotional) is a slang expression used to describe a range of fashion styles and attitudes somewhat affiliated with emo music and its related scenes. The word "emo" may be used as a noun to identify a member of the emo scene, as an adjective for a certain style of fashion or music, or even to describe a state of experiencing unhappiness, loneliness, depression or melancholy (to feel "emo").

Personally, I think that most 'emo' AND 'punk' kids alike are dressing and acting they way they are because it's a fad.
Just like being bisexual or gay was/is at my high school I used to attend.
Whether or not people see it now, being 'punk' or 'punk rocker-ish' or 'goth' or any other LABEL, is just a fad. It's going to grow old and lose it's so called uniqueness because everyone and their MOM is going to end up dressing/acting/talking that way.
I know someone reading this is going to think 'NO I'M THIS WAY BECAUSE THIS IS WHO I AM'...Well what a coincidence when like, 65498431685431365464 other people dress the same way as you, talk to same way as you and pretty much look the same as you. Yeah some people have naturally black straight hair, that just makes it 10 times easier to achieve the so called 'independent look', and it doesn't take as long to get dressed in the morning. Congrats.
But seriously, you can look at everything I've written and make you're own assumptions, I don't care. I'm just SICK AND TIRED of hearing people argue about what the politically correct definition is for punk and emo and everything else. It's never going to have a STRICT definition. Period. That's right...NEVER.
Just because you might skate, doesn't give you the right to dye your hair black and wear eye liner, and claim to be an individual with no label. Because I'll bet all your little skater buddies do it too. And if there's ever anything in an accessive amount all grouped together for the better part of a day, it's going to get a label. Along with anyone who is an athlete (NOT a jock - because you're just assuming that if they play sports they MUST be mean), or a intellectually blessed individual (NOT a nerd, geek, or bookworm. You're probably just jelous they have better grades than you. Yes I know you'll probably disagree with me about being jelous..but seriously. You know you are, so don't waste your time saying your not.)
Obviously I've written enough.

HAHAHA. I have looked on dictionary.com and wikipedia.org and wiktionary.org, and hun if you're referring to yourself as an athletic supporter..you may want to continue reading and see that when referring to an 'athletic supporter' it's aka a jockstrap.
So...hellooooo mr. jockstrap.
